I just made a Xira Arien deck that uses at least 25 mana dorks and they're a win con. It was Gahiji, but I liked the carddraw and mass reanimation of black to recover more than what I was getting from white.
I haven't gotten to use it as much as I'd like, but when i did, it went about as well as expected. Bringing Energy field/ RiP out of the board against stuff like Anafenza and Grenzo is just mean. Stratus Dancer won me a game against Ezuri by hitting a Kgrip g1, and Peace keeper did the rest on G2
Overall , I love it. When I can, I load up a pic of my signed Judge Promo, which is just nice to show off while I'm doing nothing to them lol
Just curious--when Azusa, Lost but Seeking starts overextending like crazy because she knows you won't blow up the sea of forest she's vomiting out on the field, what do you do?
Lands are sacred, but every other permanent is not. Why should anyone worry about dumping their hand when it's socially acceptable to shame and complain about the person who destroys them?
Chandra's Ignition seems great with Nicol Bolas having them discard their hands in addition to a good board wipe seems very potent.
Chandra's Ignition is amazing. The only way it would be better is if it was an instant. Even if I wasn't going to be building Chandra, I will be using this in Ashling without question, and probably Atarka as well. My favorite part about it is that you don't have to target something you control.
Ravaging Blaze is basically a super Searing Blaze, which is more than fine. It's an instant, which is a huge plus. Comet Storm is probably better, though.
I am going to say that CHandra MIGHT Be dragged into the Eldrazi because Sarkhan mentioned to Ugin not only that she was there, but that she could use his fire.
Is there any modern mono-red burn decks or is it that mono-red don't have enough punches? I'm been thinking of trying mono-red burn... or maybe I should be looking into sligh. Thanks for any serious suggestions
You sacrifice a lot to go monored. But there are some advantages like consistency and no self damage.
There's a lot I don't like about the list (most if the Sideboard). I'd definitely want Eidolon instead of Hellspark. But this is a good starting point.
First off, Smelt is infinitely better than Wear // Tear in mono red.
Next, I think the biggest advantage mono-red has in this meta is that it doesn't hurt itself with lands, and that's nothing to sneeze at. It's generally assumed that you're going to eat 3 damage from that Lightning Helix anyway, but mono-red never loses the life in the first place, or any other life from lands for that matter.
Third, I see a lot of hate for Shard Volley, and I think people have the wrong viewpoint towards it. I agree that 4 is too many, but I don't think 2 is enough. Why? You want to see it. It's a finisher, that while isn't nearly as strong as Fireblast, fills a similar role. It's the last card that leaves your hand, and to that effect it may as well be lightning bolt 5-7. I have personally won many games off the back of this card simply because it's another 1 mana instant for 3 damage.
Fourth, Hellspark is criminally underrated. This is a partial pet card for me, but when push comes to shove, I have rarely been upset to see one. It wasn't until Eidolon came around that I finally retired mine, but I still sneak them in on occasion and was glad I did. Between Atarka's Command, Dodging Eidolon, and being "uncounterable", it is pretty reliable.
If I were to run mono-red, I think I'd look like this:
That's a sweet take! White is so important to Burn, I don't think we can be competitive without it. With the 4 Boros Charm and 2 Lightning Helix, you've got it all.
Someone on the thread used to run a 4-Colour Burn, calling it ''Suicide Burn''. It seemed to be not that painful on the manabase because he ran lands we don't run usually, like City of Brass. I don't remember well what are the pages he posted his lists and comments, but it's not further back beginning of April if you want to check it out.
Cheers!
I've used CoB in the past when I couldn't afford shocks/fetches, and lost to a Pestermite. That being said, I can't imagine it being bad in 4c burn. Keep fetches and at least 1 of each shock. Maybe do 8 fetches, 4 CoB/MC, and 1 of each shock?
Of course Lanowar Elves is in it.

Playset of Snapcaster
Foil Heritage Druid
Pile B
Playset of NM Force of Will
Heritage Druids at $22 on TCG, and Ezuri just had a huge buyout and is now sitting at $11.
The foils have me interested to see what happens.

If I were to run mono-red, I think I'd look like this:
4 Goblin Guide
4 Monastery Swiftspear
4 Eidolon of the Great Revel
4 Hellspark Elemental
2 Keldon Marauders
Spells
4 Skullcrack
3 Shard Volley
2 Searing Blaze
2 Collateral Damage
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Rift Bolt
4 Lava Spike
19 Mountain
2 Torpor Orb
3 Smash to Smithereens
2 Leyline of Punishment
3 Dragon's Claw
3 Blood Moon
2 Pyroclasm
