Is it just me or does it seem like Nether Spirit and Endling got printed to oblivion in this set? While I opened two boxes and got only one a piece per box, any time I've bought a draft pack or random booster packs from an LGS, I always seem to get at least one of these two cards in the pack, or if I don't the friend who I'm with pulls them. I have like 6 of each of these cards and barely opened 12 loose packs after the 2 booster boxes. Please share whether or not this is happening to you too, I'm curious.
Does anyone know if there's a card out there that basically says "Counters on permanents can not be removed"? I'm looking to put together a "Can't Lose" EDH deck and came across Soul Echo, which says "Soul Echo enters the battlefield with X echo counters on it. You don't lose the game for having 0 or less life. At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice Soul Echo if there are no echo counters on it. Otherwise, target opponent may choose that for each 1 damage that would be dealt to you until your next upkeep, you remove an echo counter from Soul Echo instead."
To my knowledge, I know there's at least one card that prevents counters from being added to permanents and players, but nothing that prevents them from being removed. I think now that War of the Spark has dropped all these new Planeswalkers, a card that prevents them from using their negative abilities would be a pretty cool addition.
