But isn't the point that you use this to cast your commander? Even if the commander is 5-color, this land will be able to give you the color you're otherwise missing. And if your commander is a single color... Color identity implies the rest of your deck is that single color as well. And once you've played your commander, this will always provide all colors in your commander's color identity. The third mana ability can be used to cast everything, after all.
Is this the new "lotus card" mentioned in Maro's teasers because of the art, or can we also reasonably expect an actual lotus of sorts in the main set?
I'm pretty sure the statement was "A card with "Lotus" in its name."
Magnigoth Treefolk confirms that at least some treefolk used to be trees and are not just a separate race.
It also claims that 2 bears in a trenchcoat is HUUUUGE. So, on the one hand yay, on the other hand o_O
Yeah, that one's a bit of a flavor fail. The artwork might as well be a Force of Nature reprint, it's such a beefy boi. And then all we get is a measly 4/4?
So rules question, do you need to do the shuffling for every type? The way I read it I assume yes. That's gonna be annoying.
Hah, my thoughts exactly. I'm reminded of the recent Cardboard Crack with a guy shuffling forever, then he's finally finished and the game begins. T1, Fetch, crack.
Dori, last words (presumably)
Or, more precisely, lie around uselessy, fetch lands.
And we have some blue guy riding a creature with six legs? Sponsored by James Cameron??
Outnumbered
Though never outclassed
- Bolt Thrower, Anti-Tank (Dead Armour)
This ship feeds on BLOOD.
So if you're running a mono-color but 5-color identity commander like General Tazri or Tazri, Beacon of Unity (or, even worse,Morophon, the Boundless...), this land is not going to help you much just via your commander.
