Variance is the random nature of the game. You don't know what cards you will draw or what cards your opponent will have. By comparison Chess has zero variance because the pieces are all visible and never change.
I don't think the Duel Deck Anthology has that plastic wrap. The difference between those products and booster boxes is that you need to display them and it looks nicer without that wrap. I'm not 100% though.
Why reprint Future Sight as purely a Goyf lotto when you can print a Modern Masters set as a Goyf plus lots of other excellent cards lotto. Plus Modern Masters was way more fun to draft.
When a spell has multiple targets it is only countered if all of the targets are illegal upon resolution. In this case you were still a legal target so you take the damage when Arc Lightning resolves.

I doubt Stormbreath will retain value although it is a Dragon so it will get a bump from that. Rabblemaster might find a home outside of Standard but there's no way to tell, it isn't played there yet.
My FLGS quoted to me what they paid for boxes and I thought it was higher than before. I forget what he said though, I just remember thinking it was high. They already had the packs cheaper than MSRP and I don't think they increased the price.
Wizards had 3 PTs per year. They added one and decided to do 4 PTs per year. They were 2 Standard, 1 Modern, 1 Block. They tried to change them to all Standard and the outcry caused them to change one back to Modern.
I doubt they want to add PTs to the schedule as it is all advertising expense and no actual cash flow for them.
There are plenty of other Standard tournaments going on that no one will mind a Modern PT after the release of a small set. I think they should do Modern PTs after every small set once they start the new schedule.
Standard won't rotate every 18 months. It will rotate every 6 months. Standard will contain 3 two set blocks before the oldest block rotates out and a new one begins.
The yearly PWPs reset on June 2nd 2014 and go until June 1st 2014. That's the year they are talking about. I'm honestly not sure about 'b' sorry. I'd just e-mail customer support and ask.
As the title states I have a foil miscut Khans of Tarkir Wooded Foothills. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth more and how much it is worth. The black border at the top is barely visible over the land colored part of the card frame. Any help would be most appreciated. The border on the back is a little thicker at the top than it is on the front.
