Oh yeah, Magic players can be terrible. I'm such a sore loser, you have no idea...
I was having a bad night on Thursday and it was terrible for everyone in the room...
There's another guy who complains the whole game when he plays against bad players. On occasion he scoops and leaves when he opponent makes a textbook bad play that ends up being the exact right move in that situation based on information that he didn't have.
just a quick question because I think I know the answer the prerelease should be 3 packs of shards and 2 or 3 packs of conflux. Not 5 or 6 packs of conflux right?
Yup
6 packs of an epicly small set would be bad, trust me.
Also, I believe it has to be 3 of each set, but I could be mistaken. In addition the prize pool should be 2 packs per player entered.
I was just wondering if you guys have had better luck getting the better rares by buying tournament pack or booster packs. I just bought a booster box of Onslaught hoping to get some of the Fetch lands and only got one in the whole box. When I played years ago, it only took me 3 boxes to get a whole playset of them. I don't know if that was because of an earlier printing of them or what. What say thee?
Here's a question for you, why didn't you just buy Fetch Lands?
I agree its unfair the promo doesn't extend outside of the US.
They should have made it a redemption just like with the old books and not rely on some arbitrary process of CARD stores ordering this novel. None of the stores within 100 miles of my house ordered it - so naturally I had to buy from the local BOOKstore as you'd expect.
So even in the US - I can't get my hands on the card without waiting for them to show up on ebay for $30.
They did it as a way of rewarding the stores that are doing Pre-Releases this weekend. You should've done like me and asked the owner of the store where you are playing the Pre-release to order them.
Let me be clear about this. The first one is just for keeping track of life right? Other than the info about your opponent and deck and the final result.
If that's the case I really like it, I might make some copies and bring them with me to an event at some point.
As for the second one, if you need it and someone has a problem with it on the level you are asking about, you probably shouldn't be at that tournament. Now to clarify because that sounds mean, if you take this to your local FNM and they have a problem they take themselves too seriously there and it probably won't be any fun anyway. If you take this to a PTQ or something you aren't experienced enough for an event like that and should practice some more. Most (if not all) players at that level know rules like that like its the back of their hand.
I hope my assessment of the second one doesn't sound derogatory because it isn't meant to be, its just the way I see it.
The Red Zone refers to where you put attackers not, where spells on the stack go in an event.
There were 11 Legendary cards in 10th, 2 of each color and then an Artifact.
I think the 5 Lorwyn Planeswalkers are going to make it into 11th. Think about it, perfectly in each color, rotating out 3 months later, and designed simple enough that could be the first 5 we got ever (and the first 5 for new players starting with 11th).
They will be Mythic Rares btw.
With those 5 and maybe Shocklands, 11th would seem to be shaping up nicely.
Not sure if you guys have seen the newest spoiled card. It's a 5cc Blue Sorcery that target the player, so it's not a big threat with counterspells/Runed Halo, but if it resolves, it is gg against your deck. It's called:
Telemin Performance - :3mana::symu::symu:
Target opponent reveals cards from the top of his/her library until he/she reveals a creature card. Put all non-creature cards revealed this way into that player's graveyard, then put the creature card into play under your control.
No creature cards = no library :/. I guess Mistveil Plains can save you unless they are able to make you draw via Jace, Esper Charm, or something similar. Just thought I'd point that out.
Eh, Negate for the win? If you see this card then this deck deserves to lose because its gotten too strong (see Faeries for the level of Power I mean)
Its a bad card that can be Runed Haloed away in game two if you get that far.
So, yeah, each deck is different

yes Holy Day would protect your Boggart Arsonists from damage.
But it wouldn't protect it from damage from say Magma Spray
Oh and as a friendly aside, Spelling counts
I believe that you choose the order of spell/abilities controlled by you. They still go on the stack in APNAP order.

Double-Post Merged.
Also, what if the creature has Pro-Black?
Would be a much better card if it says Destroy the creature with the lowest power that target player controls.
Oh well, might be fun in limited.
well, unless that is when MaRo decides to contradict himself about great utility spells at that rarity.
