I know that Percentages play a huge role in both deckbuilding and playing Magic.

Do I play 1 Oona or 2? What should I play 4 of, what 3 ofs?

What are the chances that I draw Wrath of God on a given turn?

    etc...

No, because if there was everyone (literally everyone) would play it.

Also, the game would be over at that point because it wouldn't be fun anymore (or they would have to ban the key card from it)

That said, Faeries is a deck with a lot of good match-ups in T2 and LMSE Block. And I also think post-rotation Affinity will be kinda overpowered against the field (although not unbeatable)

There were at least 3 kithkin decks in the nats PTQ, I think 2 faerie decks, me and fred played PV's Merfolk deck and not sure about the 8th...probably faeries. it looked like this:

    Faeries beats 5c Folk
    5c Folk beats Kithkin
    Kithkin beats Faeries
    Kithkin beats (mystery deck)

    Kithkin beat Kithkin
    5c Folk beat Faeries

    Kithkin beat 5c Folk

Got a list for 5c 'folk posted somewhere?

    A couple quick examples:
FNM draft format is a "chaos draft" where each person picks any three packs they want.
Alteration of the swiss tournament format where a player receives 3 points for a 2-0 win, 2 points for a 2-1 win, 1 point for a 1-2 loss, and 0 points for a 0-2 loss.

Whenever someone asks the owner about it, they say "we're designated a teaching store, so we're allowed to do these things. DCI likes us, cause we bring in new players, so if you dont like it, you can leave"

Also, on a similar topic, does anyone know if it's against the floor rules to take your FNM draft deck with you when you go get dinner in between rounds. The store in question had a big argument with a player this week about that, among other things, and the person got kicked out of the tournament.

Are they giving the current FNM foils as prizes at these events?

  • posted a message on How do you sort cards?
I sort by Set and then collectors number, taking the rares out for a binder.

Since I sort by number they are in color and then alphabetical order, but timeshifted cards are their separate colors (since that's the order sets are in)

Top 4 in philly were faeires vs merfolk and faeires vs kithkin

have no idea who or what won.

According to a previous post Faeries and Kithkin won each game respectively.

I can't believe Kithkin beat a Faeries deck, but I guess Faeries won the day in the end.

I'd like to see the Kithkin list and the Merfolk list. I'm trying to decide which deck to play in Edison, NJ this week.

    2. How good is Surge of Thoughtweft? I've never tried it.

Its good for protecting tokens from trades, but it wouldn't be worth it without the cantrip if you control any of the creatures in this deck (which is kinda necessary if you want to use this ^^;;)

Or you could run Gaddock with the Wilt-Leaf :p

Yeah, if you are running Gaddock Teeg the Wilt-Leaf could be better, although I'm not sure that I would play Teeg in this format with so much aggro.

While I do agree that the Liege could be replaced by Ajani or Door or even his Elven counterpart in the build I think that Thistledown Liege might be the right choice because it is a Kithkin so it has synergy with reveal effect and Wizened Cenn, you can Mirrorweave in in the same fashion as Wizened Cenn and swing for a lot and it also has flash for some fun combat tricks that you can do.

Each has its own advantages and disadvantages and you really need to make that decision for yourself.
