Aside from the bad vehicle, these green commons are all super pushed. Why is green getting so much love?
i think it has to do with edh.
green historically got strong cards, green is a powerful popular color in edh because of it, how do you keep selling packs? keep pushing it because its popular and has strong cards. no one plays white or red, so why push those they don't sell packs.
they've gotten way better about this in the past year or so, but it still rings pretty true. the game isn't really about balance any more and it really comes down to what sells the most.
This a very thoughtful and we'll described argument, makes sense. And no, the white cards are no where close in power. I wanted one single card with recurring connive in white and I didn't get it. And no, illuminator virtuoso doesn't count because he demands you fill your deck with jank spells to work.
The Will Smith tie in is absolutely hilarious. Well played wiz, well played. They were probably laughing their heads off after the Oscars and couldn't believe their luck.
It even looks like Jada Smith on the right there in the picture.
Can anyone tell me what is in the sphere trap here? Can't tell from the art.
Edit: Lol nevermind, just turn the art upside down and suddenly all is clear
So what do others feel about artificial power pumping? Like a card or effect that says "~ get's +1 [or more] until end of turn" to get to the 2 [or higher] of "Casualty 2 [or higher]"? I'm thinking it can be a cheap way to get the boost w/o having to actually commit to a 2 power... There are a lot of 1 power tokens out there. Finding decent enough fodder for the Casualty keyword can almost be an issue (unless one sets it up to have fodder.
That's a horrible idea. The ability is already flawed with build in card disadvantage and now you want to add on even more card disadvantage by playing narrow use case spells? Unless we get casualty with a high number that breaks the game (which we likely won't).
