one of the fist things i thought of was eldrazi tribal. I however made a lord deck. Running a deck filled with Changeling is actually amusing. It is not finished yet but it is getting there.
I am also planning to do eldrazi, but unlike most of my 5 color decks, i will not be relying on my usual 5 color mana base (10 duals, 10 shock and 10 fecthes plus 7 more utility lands)
I will probably be on both sites and initially stick with one. Salvation has been a home for nearly a decade (for me) so it will be tough to say goodbye. However nexus is being run by community members I have grown to adore. Sure I may not always see eye to eye with them, but in the end they are what has kept this community flowing. When nexus is finally open I will indeed check it out.

My question is kind of invalid now that i remember why they could still cycle.
I know a few years ago i had a deck that basically just locked people out of teh game. they could not respond to my spells nor play any of their own, however one guy said "I can still cycle"
Back then id did not matter, no one had built a cycle deck. Sure they may have run Lonely sandbar or Decree of Pain but no deck was focused on cycling.
So with Astral Drift, Could I use it to protect a creature (Like Karn, Silver golem) from a Krosan Grip (I know you cannot respond to split second but my understanding was that Cycling does not use the stack.)

I guess I just see a lot of the sexualisation of MtG characters. Most of my play is online via untap.in, and there's a huuuuuuge number of players that run custom waifu art on their builds - like on every card in the deck, even basic lands have women with bounteous chests on them. It's honestly pretty gross and makes me wonder whether the person at the other end of the computer needs to wash their hands.
I have seen those too. I have also seen digital art of Vela the Night-clad and Nin, The pain Artist both of which were alters with very sexual females as the art. So i get what you mean. To me , it is more uncomfortable that they felt the need to put anime women on the cards. (I have seen very sexual card sleeves as well, which had one guy at a tournament have to purchase new sleeves and re sleeve his deck due to the fact that there were children around.)
But yes no need to derail this thread further than it has been.
OT: I really like the rare. she seems like a good ift for a PW build, but sadly her first ability only hit red PWs not all. Teh mythic is just nice and as i said my friend got a few if her +2 off.
Trying not to be too judgmental or high horse here, but this convo got a little...gross. It's probably a good example of some of the reasons there's not a whole lot of females in the MtG scene. I'm sure there's been worse on the site in the past, but still. I'm just gonna assume we're all talking purely in terms of aesthetics in an academic sense and leave it at that.

That said WotC and MTG developers and artists had done a great job keeping the females from being the scantly clad characters. Sure they have some in very attractive attire (Liliana for example) And Tesya and Nissa had alternate outfits what was later revised. (In fact there is a Nissa Revane that is only half as dressed her the more commonly found one)
But yes they keep females relatively tame. They are realistic as opposed to what you would see in anime and manga. In the technological era in which magic takes place, the outfits seem to be what they would wear. Daxos of Meletis for example is shirtless, but he comes form a plane that resembles ancient greece.
Anyway the point is, they do not sexualize their characters. That is rare, but i belive most of us were just joking around, i do not think anyone here actually feels the need to fight over best girl.

Whoa back up, I am on your side about the fire hair. While I do love the adorable chibi girl, I think fired hair would have at least made her look more like who she is suppose to represent.
But again they were probably trying to make her more cute and felt that diet hair did not accomplish what they wanted.
Look at the bright side, they didn't turn her into a Loli.
If you are running sliver but not going for tier 1, I say run all 5 legendary slivers (if you can, queen is around 200 bucks)

Well yeah, wearing less clothing isn't a questionable aesthetic decision, turning a character with fire for hair into one with pink hair is. If Chandra was like a nun or something, I would definitely be questioning why the artist gave her that outfit.

That card has always confused me. It's not as though they were trying to illustrate a younger Chandra like these new cards from before her hair was perpetually fire. They just decided for the anime version that it would be properly anime to make her hair pink instead of just made of fire. How is hair literally made of fire not anime enough?

While you first have to find a way to get him into the grave, once there he is self recurring.

Personally it does make sense to me that it would leave but there is still that chance.
