    My suggestions:

Instead if that mana cost, I would rock the WWUUBBRRGG cost. Purely for flavor, also one mana cheaper but it looks cleaner on a card.

For the "godlike" recursion ability, I would try out the new templating that WotC used for the God cycle in war of the spark. See God Eternal Bontu for reference. I think that could be a cleaner way to handle this.

Other than that, I like the ability to summon dragons from your deck. Feels perfect for such a mega-monster.

I was going for a secondary commander type ordeal. Which why you can cast her from exile.

I think it does, but that would require dedicating your Morophon to "bringer" tribal.

So I'm in an MTG rules group on FB. Realtime rules adjudication is really nice.

At any rate, within an hour of spoiling they'd already put up a sticky post with 'do not ask us again about Morophon and Jodah, it's been answered and we won't do it again'.

So in a small way this card broke the internet. Move over Kim K, this is what real beauty looks like.

You do not need to dedicate a tribal deck to brinegrs since there are only 5. But they are 5 things that can be considered good stuff. (well maybe not green)

As for the FB post, what was the answer, does Jodah/Fist of suns make thing free with moro?

Gravecrawler loops with any free Sacrifice outlet.

And game ending with purphy or impact tremors.

I think Moro is going to be a lot of fun, both in good stuff and tribal. (We already established a game ender with Gravecrawler, ETB damage and a sac outlet. I'm looking for room for my Dragon deck. I can already reduce the cost to just the colors. and now this guy can reduce colors. He is a dragon, AND he can make my commander almost free.

Nah, Snow covered lands were not exactly Moxes. A buck or two a piece?

try more like 5 each. Ice age were that much due to how old they were and coldsnap were that much due to how nice they looked.

    Didn't even think of that.

Would it also make Bringer's free?

I have a few questions about signature spells

what happens if you use a split or fuse card like Invert // Invent or Turn // Burn as signature spells?

what happens with a card like Summoning Trap that says "you may pay 0 rather than pay the cost" do you still pay the tax?

i think this might be the same as the previous question but if a card has an alternative cost like Earthen Arms awaken cost do you pay tax on that?

both halves would have to be legal and you will pay a tax regardless of which one you cast.

In a zombie deck that runs rooftop storm, you still have to pay the tax, so yes you will pay tax (It is an additional cost)

Yes you pay tax on alternate costs too. (Like Mizzix of the Izmagus and Cyclonic rift. with enough experience counters, you can overload a C.rift for just U) An alternate cost is still a cost, it can be taxed.

I think morphon will do great in any tribal deck. I might not throw him into dragons, though he can get to the point of allowing me to cast my dragons for free. (Cost reductions and color reductions. 4 mana to cast my general...)

I think sliver decks will love him. (With all 4 slivers legends costing only WUBRG He in going to be scary in any tribal decks. (And he will overthrow mistform ultimus.

I am interested in building a lord deck.

    SNOW COVERED LANDS!
I need to get an extra planar lens before they go up too much in price. Granted they might not go up as much since everyone will now have access to snow-covered, but you know, just in case.

The ability is "You may cast ~ from exile." Misthollow Griffin Eternal Scourge. If a standard template for an ability exists you should use it.

It's a very cool design. My only problem is that it circumvents the commander tax. Commanders are such significant threats that the commander tax is the only way to actually grind out a player.

Eleven mana is a lot, even in Commander. This design is also a lot worse than The Ur-Dragon in a few different ways. Higher CMC, not doing anything until 11 mana, having to wait an entire turn cycle without losing her, and generating less card advantage overall all make her worse than the existing big 5C dragon option.

Thank you. and I like my ur-dragon, i would run her in the 99 myself, not as a commander (Overall it makes her a bit better, 10 mana instead of 11, and you can keep bringing her back. But yes, she does not generate card advantage, just gives you a free dragon, which is good as she summons chromatic dragons in her lore. I tried to base her off of the lore as bets as could without making her too broken. She can be killed but she keeps coming back. She summons her brood. She is powerful.

So I created this card for fun, originally i had based the idea of tiamat calling her brood of chromatic dragons, I found it interesting that her heads are all a color of the magic color pie, and in addition, she is a god.

I did not just want indestructible dragon (Since she herself is not indestructible in her lore.) but I did want her to be easily returned. So I decided to try a new mechanic that is rarely used if at all. Cast from exile.

so her mana cost may be a little low, given her P/T and abilities, but whatever,

Those cards were already banned in edh. Seems hard for them to be pretty tame if they are not legal to play??

True, but the EDH banlist is good only for that specifically EDH envinroment. Or maybe is simply wrong in some place. That's why French, Leviathan and MTGO Commander all got a different banlist from the traditional one.

For example, I will never understand the sense of the banning of Painter Servant. Yes, is a combo with Iona or Grindstone, but in EDH there are billions of way to end the game with only 2 cards and the Servant alone is not an oppressive threat and can be perfectly played in casual ways. Not to mention that Mycosinth Lattice gives the exact same troubles and even larger game-ending combo to exploit than Servant and that is a legal card.

I agree with this. I feel pannter ashould unbanned and instead ban iiona and grindstone.

But the ban list discussion should be in the banlist discussion forum.

You have to make sure your playgroup is the type who are playing for fun and not to win.

I have fun where the most things are allowed but this format have so many limits compared to regular EDH, that I might just house rule the real Commander instead of referring to this "watered down" version, if my interest is just to play any PW as generals.

Well I want to try to apply the signature spell idea to regular commander, just as a variant. Maybe a game or two a night I can con convince people to give it a shot. (Chances are it would lead to most people playing T&N so I would have to find a small banlist that is easy to uphold, where the signature spell can still be fun. (As they would be taking an instant or sorcery form their deck. So it help their commander, while not being too broken (Hopefully)

I did something similar with something i called a Trump card They did an effect that could not be countered and set your life total to 10 (Could not play the spell unless you had more than 10 life) It could have been a fog, or a wheel, getting a big creature. They did not use the stack and could be played at any time so long as you had 11 or more life) It actually was fun. (And once you played the card it was gone, you only had one chance, even if you gain life to be above 10 again you cannot play the trump card a second time.)

I plan to try again, but make a few sets of the cards so people could choose their trump card and people could have the same one.

That has nothing to do of what I was talking about in the phrase you quoted above. I was specifically talking about the limits of the format (low life, low deck size, only PW as general, bad banlist etc.) and that's why I said that at that point I will just house rule the main EDH format to allow PW as generals (which is making only 1 additional house rule of the official format) instead of adding 4-5 different type of house rules for a home-made variant of said official format.

    Sorry went on a tangent.

Yea House ruling PWs would be a fair change but at the same time, they can still be just as broken. Nicol bolas superfriends can still be oppressive.

    - the signature spell is a bad idea due to the abuses you are allowed to do in sinergy with your general

    (Synergy not sinergy)

I agree with the signature spell. But not that it grants synergy, (Though it does) I feel the signature spell can actually break the game completely, there are lists of Oathbreaker combos that make the game unfun. I mean I feel this has more staying power than Brawl (Since it is an eternal format, and created by fans, not wotC) But at the same time, it might not well if people go for the "dick moves" and try to build oppressive combinations. I have already found over a dozen broken combos. Both from searching and experimentation. I bet with a bit more effort I can find even more broken combos which really hurts this format. You have to make sure your playgroup is the type who are playing for fun and not to win. (I know the difference, i have two decks, one for fun (Dragons) and one to win (Jhoira))
