Ack. Why doesn't this work on permanents your opponent controls? That would have been so cool. I don't really run very many spells that target my own creatures, really, so this is a dead mythic to me, unless I build a new deck for him. Which, I guess, but there are a lot easier to use shapeshifters out there.
Can i still cast the foretold cards for 2 mana cheaper after the Demon is gone ?
I wondered this as well. The video probably explains it, but I don't speak JP. My guess is it DOES still work after the demon is gone, since it doesn't say "while ~ is in play", and the cards remember they have foretell in exile independent of the demon's presence.
It's too bad it doesn't gain a +1/+1 counter or something. Ah well, I like the design quite a lot and will probably play with it.
That makes sense. A big part of the issue is I mis-remembered how the enchantment worked - for some reason I had it in my head it triggered when a creature died. I should probably have read it more carefully rather than just trying to "recall" what it did!
Only if you still have a 5-cmc permanent on the battlefield. That's easy to do in green, though.
Are you sure? If you have Rootless Yew on the table, as well as In Search of Greatness, when the Yew dies two triggers go on the stack. Can't you stack the triggers so the Yew's goes first, you search and put a creature in your hand as part of that single trigger, then the next trigger would let you put the searched for card on the table?
Oof. Rough start for the rares - 0/4 I give a ***** about so far. Why would I play with either of the above when the Archive exists for any deck? https://scryfall.com/card/ori/221/alhammarrets-archive Sure, it doesn't double your initial card draw per turn like Thought Reflection I guess, but still. I think they printed these just because of the double theme, which I'm sure the article mentions, but I'm not dropping $300+ on a box where I don't care about the rares, only mythics. Bleh. Things better start picking up here.
I agree the VIP boosters are stupid expensive, as in the product has become lame.
But the regular boosters seem packed full of value for $12-14 - that's not much more than I paid per pack for a box of Ultimate Masters and that was one of the most fun boxes I ever opened - and these have double the foil/rare slots.
For $16+ bucks per booster the set is going to have to be filled to the brim with value else there will be many packs opened that have $5 in it. I'm alright blowing $4 to get a $1 rare, but when you quadruple+ the price it'll feel far worse to open $4 worth of cards.
Well, it's hard to say with only 5 cards shown so far. Right now packs are about $13-14 (at least at my local game store and when I looked on Amazon just now). But the 5 cards we have seen all have much higher value than $14 - ranging from $18 (Atraxa) to the $40-70 range and higher (Mana Vault) so unless they already showed us the top 5 cards in the set (possible, I suppose, but that seems unlikely) I still disagree with the assessment I was quoting - that you said the product was "Awful" - unless you dislike Masters sets in general. They are all like this, though the price has been creeping up a few bucks per booster each time a new set comes out, which is bit annoying. But you will always open packs and get a bad feel moment or two, that's how gambling works. If you want the cards you want, buy them as singles. it's not an "awful" product, at least in my opinion so far.

EDIT: I missed it, my son pointed it out, but I just assumed this bolt hit all targets, and it does not. Boo.
I certainly did, and I was really excited to see another thread tracking these numbers for this set. Thanks for stepping up!
