MTG Salvation

Well after playing in the open beta I can say just one thing: so far D3 feels vastly superior to D2. The combat, fluidity of the action,and the world crafting are in a completely different league. I'm not a huge Blizzard fan but the Diablo series will always have a special place in my gamer heart: I have played D1 as a 7 year old, and got butchered by the butcher every time(heyoooo :P), I have spent countless nights playing D2 with my friends in my teen years and now D3 is finally coming out 3 days after I graduate from college... God that make's me feel old:). But any way I think all the hate towards D3 is just pure nostalgia talking. I'm looking forward to play the full version as soon as I can get a hold on it. The only little things that I'm not a big fun of are the extremely limited number of legendary sets, and the absence of the Paladin

Well it was my 2nd Pre-release ever(even though I've been playing for 10 years :p), and I ended up with the best record :). My deck built itself to be honest as my white and black were not only much deeper than the 3 other combined, but my bombs: Requiem Angel , and Liliana were both on color. And my overall card quality was just ridiculous. Plenty of token generation, removal, decent threats with evasion, but there was no Sorin in my prize packs though :p.
As a side note IF he would have been in my sealed pool than good God my deck would be simply insane...

Hey guys I didn't have any time to test anything, so I would like some insight into some card choices. In G/W humans is Elite Vanguard or Doomed Traveler the preferred choice, along with Champion and Pilgrim?. The Vanguard is definitely very aggressive, yet Traveler is decent vs Lily and kinda good vs DoJ.... So who is better in a fairly competitive and probably up to date meta(States:p)

Well those may not be the most exciting cards eva, but they're still leagues better then Curse of Wizardry. And the art is very nice, especially the vamp

The justification to ban GSZ is a little bit silly. Sure green decks use it, almost every single one of them. But the same reasons could be used to ban goyf, yet it was untouched.... and they say they want more variety in green decks. I was excited about modern, but I will wait a little longer before buying in. The other reason why they might have left goyf out of the list may be the fact that they might reprint that little bugger in Inn block(doubt it). BTW: I'm not saying to ban goyf. Glad for the bans in Extended, maybe it will spark a little interest in the format. And MM was a mistake, glad they took care of it.

Hey Boys and Girls. I would like to ask the mtgsally crowd about some advice. I've 5 vacation days in August and Im looking for a nice vacation spot for me and my girlfriend. We have been to the poccono mountains twice now and we kinda don't know where to go next. I thought about lake george but most places are already either taken or way to expensive for me :(. If you guys know any nice places to spend a couple of days at a distance of about 5-6 hours from central Jersey. Extra cookies for the person who suggests a hidden gem somewhere near a large body of water :P, but any cool places would be greatly appreciated !

Looks like one of the best cards of the set. Tarmo 2.0? Maybe not,but still very scary. Anyone remembers the time when Watchwolf was considered a contender? This will be played in Legacy, and gives a nice boost to that Grand Architect deck that's been around

People seriously? This thing is insane! People are seriously forgetting about Stoneforge Mystic here! You can cheat it into play at instant speed for 2 mana, it can bounce itself in response to removal, makes a lonely hawk into a baneslayer. Sure you're not gonna play a playset but, this is an amazing addition to a mystic toolbox!
Also, Puresteel Paladin looks even better now, I guess it would be wise to get a playset of them before they get broken in half.

Seeing Batterskull really makes me want to sleeve up a couple decks. I am very glad I bought mystics were they were $4 a pop. And Beast Within is beastly(lame pun intended). People who scream about green getting a Vindicate should go look at <c>Desert Twister</c> besides, anything that would even remotely help to prevent what happen in Dallas is a good thing... just sayin'

Damn!:P I just finished reading the spoiler and already 6 pages worth of comments. People at wotc will get pissed that's for sure. As for the set it look's good at first glance. There's definitely a couple stand outs, and the art is AWESOME:)

Thanks man, I found the same info. This means I'll have to improvise. It's a school assignment and I'm only allowed to use Google Earth and nothing else. But I really appreciate you taking your time to try and help my out !

1. Bats wins any fight if he has time to prepare- he's just that awesome
2. I will also say Batman. Hell the theme song from that very old Batman show(the non animated one) is almost as well known as the Super Mario Bros music. Batman also from what I know had a lot of better story lines, that's why people who like comics also generally like him more. As for the general public: Batman. Why? Two awesome movies.
3.I honestly don't know ANY Superman villains, except for Lex Luthor. As for Batman, I'm also not too well informed, but at least I know some: Poison Ivy, Joker, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, Bane.
4.I like Batman better for the same reason why I like Iron Man. They weren't born with any powers. They're just really intelligent and dedicated- so much that they are well respected and rank high in the power rankings of their respective universes.
That and I HATE Superman(as well as Sentry and Hulk)- they're all just soo cheap.Only way to kill Supes? Kyptonite. Don't have any? Well tough luck he will probably beat you into a pulp.

Ok I need to ask some fellow Sally users about this since this is starting to really piss me off! I try to use Google Earth( it has to be Google Earth), to make a map that would show the path from 5 different places to my house. I know how to do a pair(a single pair), but I got absolutely no clue about connecting 5 different points to my house. Can anyone please educate me on this ? I got cookies:).

Well Baldur's Gate 2 of course! THE best game ever made period. The plot,characters, setting... I could go on and on. Bioware's crown jewel! On the list of my favorites Shogun:Total War( i used to play a couple campaigns for a couple years!), Red Alert series- especially #2. Age of Empires 2- imo is one of the greatest rts's of all time. The Mass Effect series is also almost Baldur's Gate quality as well.Honorable mentions to Diablo 2, Planescape: Torment(I need to hunt this down again over the summer), Quake 3, D&D Shadow over Mystara( I still play it with my friends when we get together!),the Heroes of Might and Magic series( 2 has a special place in my heart, my first strategy game!). And many more, I would like to add that I was, am and will be mostly a PC gamer, that's why my list lacks nes, snes genesis etc games. Although Ultimate Stuntman, and Bignose are my two picks for best nes game(screw Mario!)

I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope that Elspeth, Knight-Errant, will replace Ajani as the white walker. Not only she fits more( all the other walkers are humans), she has more of a regular high fantasy flavor than him(which they are going for in core sets now right?), and she's plain better.
That and I don't want her to rotate out!
And I hope that we will get both Silver Knight, and White Knight in the same core- that would be cool.
I would really like to see Phantom Centaur come back one day as well.
We should also get a Paladin en-Vec - Great Stable Stag cycle in each core set- those all often pretty useful.
And the last but not least!- the Swords from Darksteel!
