So I've been working on trying hybrid Devoted decks, I tried Devoted prison with magus/trinisphere/brdige/chalice and did OK, but have had great results with this list here: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/3397007#paper
This is my Devoted Ponza list. The idea was taking out the land destruction for the combo, which worked with the perfect amount of cards. So far I've beat Tron, Uro pile, Dredgeless Dredge, Snow and Burn. I'm currently at a 80% win rate, but have not taken it into a league yet, only have done testing. I think the list can be tweaked some, imo bolt feels slightly less powerful than path right now, but I have not tried path yet. Opinion or suggestions?
Edit: Added paths to sb and smoothed mana base out, got a few more wins right afterwards.
Teeg only psuedo stops Batterskull, cause it can still be sneaked in. I've seen a few lists running 2 arbiter, 4 aven mindcensor and the 4 SFM, opinions?
Depends on how you want to play, but I've been advised against Disenchant effects in the maindeck. You're effectively devoting maindeck slots to other peoples' sideboard cards (which aren't in your opponents' maindecks). I think cutting Knight of Autumn and Qasali Pridemage for Deputy of Detention will benefit you a lot. Knight of Autumn and Qasali Pridemage can still go in the SB.
That's actually very helpful advice, I think I will do that. thanks!
working on Bant Counters Company. IMO, having midrange options in this format seems better than going all in on combo with the Abzan list. Still working on the SB, but will probably have 4 graveyard hate cards at a minimum and Blast Zone. Opinions or questions? Recently took it to a 25+ Modern Monday tournament and went 4-1, facing Phoenix 3 times and winning 2 out of those three times. Also crushed elves and a mono U deck as well.
