I enjoy playing paper magic a lot. A LOT. My little brother got me into it and it's something that we, as adults now, did to hang out with eachother and have a mutual interest. He's always been the anime lover and I've always been the sports/FPS lover, so we never really had much before that.
So, he got me into the game, walked me through it, and I spent all the money and bought all the decks and had a great time. And so did my LGS.
My little brother moved to Japan two years ago. I work late Friday nights sometimes and am an old man father and husband. It's very, very hard for me to find time to play Magic because I frequently can't go to FNM and my little brother is thousands of miles away.
The last paper event I went to was a midnight draft with my brother and his friends for Journey into Nyx.
So...yeah.
I'm spending my ass off on MTG Arena, because it's allowed me to play Magic again. I haven't played Magic in four years, but now I've been doing three hours of drafting every night after the family is asleep.
