Vera and Reed hovered alongside the other mages. "Mother, please, listen to these humans! How could they know what would happen?"

Tayal, Brigid, and Ashling hang back, while Ysonne stands alongside Aramil, holding her sword at the ready.

Gear is surprised that they are not struck from the skies as they land, a good hundred yards from the battle. The battle still rages between the two combatants.

OOG: I just realized, the undead cat was actually a lizard-like beast. Whoops.

"Oh, running in fear, I see?" Lou laughs at the group scurrying around. "You! Get up here! You three, cut them off! And you, my darling little beast, have fun!"

The mage-like wizard starts to run up towards the top of the ziggurat, while another group like the last one comes out of the portal. The small zombies from the previous group charge down towards the next obelisk in line, ready to stop the mages. The zombified lizard, meanwhile, charges down the ziggurat towards the mages, snarling.

Lou finishes it off by summoning another zombie, this one Dominarian in origin. The zombies around the area look exceptionally strong, now.

I'm so sorry. I had an interview recently, and this week has been hell for my stress levels. I've been intending to log on and post since last Friday.

Xen can hear a shout behind him from one of the two fae. "And STAY out!"

Brigid is gulping in big breaths of air, and she looks scratched, but unwounded.

Ysonne is into the portal right after Aramil. Ashling throws a little fire onto the nearby brush, warding away the pursuers, and they jump into the portal as well.

There are two guards on the gate. One, a rather large minotaur, appears to be a trainee.

The human guard walks the minotaur through Olaf's papers, and gives him the stamp, warning the minotaur to be careful this time. Olaf can see two cracked stamps on the desk pushed aside.

The minotaur thumps the stamp gingerly on the paper, and hands it back. "These are in order. Thank you. Enjoy your stay in Estark."

OOG: Very very sorry for the delay. Alright, let's get this party started. Thread up.

"The boat you're looking for is named the Forever Dawn. They're setting out from Tantium within a few days, taking passengers to and from Benalia. It's a civilian ship, not equipped for combat. That's not to say these people aren't ready, willing, and able to if the need arises. You mages are there for insurance."

Goday pulls out a bag, and places it on the counter. "If you agree, I'm to give you 30 gold for expenses, and 30 gold when you come back to Estark. Agreed?"

Len looks around, feeling the red mana of the area and the sun suffuse him. He's surprised at how his heart starts to beat faster, thundering in his ears. His thought drift to Drea for a short second, before returning to the matter at hand.

Len looks at the metallic creatures, fascinated at the artificial life form, even in death.

The portal pulses, disgorging another three decrepit zombies and a strange undead hoofed cat creature none of them had seen before. At least alive. Something kicks Aggron's memory, but he can't identify it.

Lou gathers more mana to himself. "I should thank you two," he says. "I probably would never have found out about this beautiful spell without you." and lashes out, a blast of lightning hitting Cyouni in the chest, and a blast of necrotic energy ripped the spell Aggron used on the demon and guildmage from his mind.

Reed slashed through one of the fae going for Xen's hamstring, dropping him to the ground with a cut off squeak.

"They were trying to help us, and you idiots are going to kill them for it?!"
"Oh boy," Vera grumbles, "Now you've done it."

In recognition of this help, Brigid shoots an arrow through a fae coming up behind Vera with a menacing look on its face.

Ysonne leapt into the air and swung around, her blade slicing through three fae, and hitting a fourth as she landed in a roll, coming back up to a full run in a fraction of a second. A serene smile has appeared on her face, as she shares a glance with Aramil.

Tayal, meanwhile, is looking a bit scratched up, but is following Ysonne, being half-supported by Ashling. The battle is not faring well for her, and only her proximity to Ashling's protective flame is keeping her from being stabbed to death by the fae.

Lou looks up at Aggron's mental shout, and finds the two mages at the entrance to the cavern. After a flash of surprise on his face, he quickly recovers and laughs. "Well, if it isn't the little snack. And another tiny morsel, I see. The Golgari must be desperate if they've sent you after me. No matter. More food for the feast, then!"
