Lawful? Command 1WW
Instant
Choose two:
•Exile target creature you control, then return it to the battlefield
•Target player creates a 1/1 white bird token with flying
•Exile target tapped creature you don't control. Its controller draws a card.
•Rebound
The fact that rebound doesn't target should (sometimes) add some risk when you want max value. Also the delay may make it so, you can't always afford to go for it.
Mindful Command UU
Instant
Choose two:
•Scry 2
•Draw a card
•Counter target noncreature spell unless its controller pays 1
•Tap target creature. It doesn't untap during its controllers next untap step
I think the restriction to noncreature spells is necessary here to keep it a 2drop.
Hateful Command BB
Instant
Choose two:
•Name a non-creature, non-land card. Each opponent reveals their hand and discards a card with that name.
•choose a creature type. creatures of that type get -1/-1 until eot.
•Exile up to three cards from graveyards.
•Each opponent loses life equal to the number of spells they have cast this turn. You gain that much life.
the graveyard hate would normally target, but as it's likely the weakest mode already, I didn't want to add any risk to it
Spiteful Command R
Sorcery
Choose two:
•Deals 1 damage to target creature
•Deals 1 damage to target player or planeswalker
•Target creature can't block this turn
•Target land doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step
Playful? Command GGG
Sorcery
Choose two:
•Create a 2/2 green wolf token
•Put two +1/+1 counters onto a creature you control
•Target creature you control fights target creature you don't control
•Target player sacrifices an artifact
Honestly, I just ran out of -ful words, and ideas towards the end.
Originally I wanted to allow the wolf token to fight if necessary, but then I figured this corner-case isn't worth making the fighting mode unsafe by targeting only the opposing creature, for an effect that would feel borderline red anyway on a noncreature spell. The +1/+1 counters still don't target, since I consider being able to put those onto the wolf to be a bit more important.
"Bynder" is a made-up word and does not mean "binding". That said, they translated "commander" as "Kommandeur" rather than "Kommandant" or some other actual word, so i guess your back-translation might still be correct.
it isn't parasitic at all, some people just confuse "has synergy with itself" and "is parasitic".
Now, this particular card will probably not be played in a deck without more mutate stuff, but you'll find such cards with many mechanics.
can you enchant a mutate creature onto a second copy of itself without sacrificing either? as far as I understand it, they won't be separate entities on the battlefield, but be counted as a single card.
@NZB2323:
Force of Despair only answers kiki. the blue creature enters during your turn.
The other two forces won't answer kiki (they are still good of course)
Aether Gust is effectively 3cmc, since you can't answer the creature, but must wait for the enchantment, at which point the'll have tapped one of your lands; also, you still need another answer, because they'll put it on top.
maybe the two forces that actually work, Fry, and Push, are enough though.
"""If they dont do one for international MENs Day i file a sexual harassment campaign against them."""
1) this has nothing to do with harassment. what you mean is discrimination.
2) men can't sue for sexual discrimination (not with any form of success that is)
3) this isn't discrimination either. WotC has every right to donate the money of willing cash-cows to whatever organisation it likes.
agree. the quote on the card itself makes some sense, but the other one specifically refers to the christian God, in a setting of greek gods. Also, it doesn't make any sense to be an atheist when you actually get to interact with gods
I'm pretty sure your vintage deck won't do too well when you only start to draw from it past turn 3.
My first idea would be to to use a deck that doesn't contain lands (or other early game stuff). No idea though what it should contain.
The point is, the opponent can't just side out all their kill-spells. That trick usually eats up sideboard space. With this card, you get it attached to a decent wrath (no, the creature isn't as good as baneslayer angel. doesn't need to be).
Of course it would be better if the wrath were unconditional. It isn't going to replace the 4 mana wrath that remains in standard either. But it will probably be played.
Any by the way, the standard format right now is irrelevant because rotation is about to happen.
I'm not so sure about this seeing modern play. Needing 4 creatures with flying is rather specific, outside of WB tokens. Given its sweeper protection, it may replace an anthem, but afaik that deck hasn't been competitive for some time now. And Battle Screech does not appear to be that huge an upgrade over what the deck could do so far to change that.
@raptorchan: probably not on reprints, where they'd have to pay for new artwork. (Anyway, I had no idea what you were talking about until I read the next comment)
lifelink still qualifies as "taking the life from something" and a lot of those random life-gain cards are at least flavored that way (though Vraska's Contempt isn't and I'm pretty sure there are more such cards)
I predict the next magic set to be Modern Horizons
By the way, I don't think the fall set will contain any phyrexians, because that would be a bit too close to the previous big villain, but they might be in the winter or spring sets of next year
Ok, these cards were literally slapped together in minutes, so I guess it's not too surprising they feel that way.
Anyway, Liliana is out of character with the spying, but not with the discard. She's done discard previously, if not on planeswalker cards, then at least on liliana-flavored cards. But perhaps there's a planeswalker that would be a better fit for these abilities (maybe Ashiok? (with a different ultimate, that is; although I really don't know what that would do))
About Nissa: Generic mana dorks have previously been considered too powerful for standard and might again be absent some day. I agree though that she makes zero sense in a standard format that has LLanowar elves.

Are those cards somewhat balanced at least?
