I don’t think we will see the typical style planeswalker + - abilities for all. I gather the uncommon and maybe rares will work like Sagas but still having loyalty counters that are removed until they lose their spark and turn into just legendary creatures.
Uncommon Tibalt 1R
When ~ comes into play and at the beginning of combat, remove a loyalty counter. Deal 1 damage to any target. Loyalty 2. When 0, transform into a 2/1 legendary creature with haste.
Something like "Fading" from Nemesis so there is a clock on Planeswalkers so they don’t linger very long on the board. It would be flavorful. Flipping or create a token of themselves, what ever is cheaper for WotC I suppose.
It’s going to be something like this. Grinding game 1 in every round of draft for 45 mins is the least fun experience I can imagine. The only way to do this set successfully and flavorfully is flipwalkers with some variation of all minus abilities.
Except then are are just basically creatures with modal ETB's. Where's the interesting new mechanic there? I really hope it's not just that.

It depends on how powerful they make the walkers. If they all have minus abilities and flip into legendary creatures when out, its not too bad.
If they are straight up planeswalkers, emblems and everything, I would imagine there will be a huge amount of removal/suppression.
Rosewater essentially confirmed it by talking about the “Crazy” element in the set and alluding to it in other comments on his blog.

You would get every walker as a legendary creature trying to regain their spark after Bolas stole/suppressed it with the Immortal sun.
It would stop games from being grindy, limit mana issues, and keep you from having to print 30 new planeswalker kill cards.
