Jace hasn't been in a block since RTR. Can we please stop being childish about this stuff?

But he's had 2 new cards since then. It's not like Jace hasn't been all over Magic non-stop.

So have Chandra, Gideon, Nissa, and Sarhkan...

Edit: Left off Kiora and Ajani...

Since Sorrin is going to kill/absorb Avacyn maybe he won't have his white this block, I mean he has to get pretty dark to kill his own creation right? Also since the whole vamps are all merged with stone pillars thing he may not make vampires either. I want to see a new cheaper mono black Sorrin that can do some life drain maybe destroy a creature or something new for black. Last ability could just be damnation as a way to allow us to have it in some way. He could cost 3BB and come into play with 5 loyalty with the final costing 5 loyalty so we could use him as a field clear or as a walker. But maybe the utility would be too good.

I'd say that Sorin destroying Avacyn is a pretty white act. He's doing it for the good of society since she's gone postal, so it's just a case of end justifying the means - as white as it gets in my book.
Also, let's not jump to conclusions here. Will he really destroy Avacyn, or do we just misinterpret the illustration?

To address the question of what PWs are seeing print, I think Jace is a safe bet, because Wizards' market research has apparently shown that people can't survive one block without their Gary Stu. I'd love to not see him for at least a decade, but here we are. Non-midrange tokens WB Sorin would be sweet too - there's so much design space there.
And since Liliana in Eldritch Moon is also basically a certainty, either Tamiyo or Nahiri are not getting a card. In an improbable event of mono B Sorin, Nahiri is more likely (much to the dismay of Tamiyo fans out there).

    Tibalt? Yeah, right.

We haven't had a mono-blue walker in a non-core set since JACE IN RTR. I think we could do with a little love and let there be two mono-blue PWs in this block.

If we don't get Tamiyo its time to riot.

I sure hope not. We haven't had a mono blue non-Jace planeswalker printing in standard in three and a half years! (Avacyn Restored)

3 blocks in a row without a mono-U planeswalker? What in the world?!

Edit: There wasn't one in Theros either. We haven't got a non-core Mono-U walker since Jace, AoT...

Because one of the prevailing theories is that all colorless-mana-generators will receive nonfunctional Gatherer errata to now produce <>. In that case, no card will 'add {1}' anymore. This will have no effect on any pre-OGW card whatsoever.

    Yikes. Alright then.

If 1=<> and they wanted everyone to know that 1 and <> were the same so that there was no confusion with older cards, why didnt Mirrorpool just tap for 1 instead of <>.

I feel like after 2-3 weeks of this set in draft, I will just want to go back to Origins, which is sad to me as a Zendikar fan.

I find it truly interesting that they have gone all in on this new block approach and how it will change the game and the first set of this new block set-up isn't filled with the "risky reprints" they discussed nor cards that "can be pushed because they rotate faster" but with unpowered, rares that should be common/uncommon.

It should be said that I am okay with where the mythics are, but man, the rares just feel lazy or in come cases (cancel) just commons with awaken on them.

Is it just me, or did the most recent UR make Jace look useless.

So then someone plays Fact or Fiction, choosing the departed player to make the decision on how to split it (since they are, in your make-believe world, "still in the game"). If they've left the premises, does the game simply hang while waiting for their input?

You call a magic player you know on the phone and ask him/her to split it.

I'm sorry, but if the EDH powers that be thought this was a real problem, they would have addressed it just like they have the General-ban and Tuck rules.

In a game where politics is as important as the cards themselves, you have to understand that if you are going all in on one person, they are well within their right to concede when you attack them.

Use the politics. Tell your fellow players "Hey, if I kill this guy for you, don't attack me for the next turn". Because either
    A) Your opponent you are all out attacking is about to win so the other players are on board with you killing him
    B) Your opponent you are all out attacking can't do anything and the other players don't have the power to save them, meaning you are in the king's seat.

What's next? A rule that says if you all out attack a player you are immune to being attacked until your next turn?

Ingest seems really, really weak. It could have been just dealing damage and it maybe could have been interesting. But hitting the player? This spoiled card is a 3/2. You get like 6 hits on the player before he is just dead.

I have to ask, and maybe it was answered, but if Drew Levin knew about this for so long, why did he wait until Zach was his opponent to tweet outrage about it?
