try and find a way to get gilder bairn in there. That way you can get the counters on pinnacle that much faster and save mana for counter spells and other things that might disrupt you. Also, another option might be to put in some Jace, so you have another win condition...cuz bairn doubles his counters too.

Also...68 cards is a lot of cards. It looks as though you are trying to build elf pinnacle. Go with one or the other. You really only need birds and maybe Llanowar to get the mana accel you need. Focus more on putting the counters on pinnacle. Platinum Angel Might be a good stall tactic to help get the counters on pinnacle without dying.

I think the idea here isn't necesarrily card advantage from a creature perspective...but all around.

By turn 4...I am bouncing/ destroying 2 or three lands...they won't be playing anything but lands for the rest of the game. Seems like advantage to me.

hmm....i can go with a more controllish route with cryptic command and rune snag and probably something like faerie trickery.

4 turn to mist (instead of blink)
    -3 Blink
    -3 Shreikmaw
    -1 Steel of the godhead
    +3 Rune Snag
    +4 Cryptic Command

I like the other stuff I have, but i think that the addition of the counters should help me out a bit. The godhead should be okay. The counters will help her out. The other win condition is the leige on the field with the gaurdian.

seems fairly solid, although I don't understand the bitter blossom. That is just taking away life from you that you might need because you are usually swinging with everything.

Also, an interest idea might be to put in the Ghastlord enchantment. That makes your Inkfathom a 4/4 that draw you a card and makes them discard.

All in all, i would probably drop 4 Bitterblossom for 3 helm of the ghastlord and another hammer. Also, drop the bad moons for something like cryptic command or profane command. I would honestly do more counters in blue, but that would mean tweaking your mana base to include underground river and river of tears.

hmm...I don't know about the sower. With all the bouncing and LD, they should have anything of real relevence to take, and you would be wasting mana to play something that you don't really need when you can play 2 more cloudkite and bounce more stuff.

You could drop the Sower for 2 cloudkite. But other than that, i don't see much. Ever thought of some counters. You could put in cryptic, although it might be kinda rough for the mana base. Or maybe even Rune Snag it is a cheap counter that can give even MORE card advantage.

Doubt that this could be Super competitive, but I thought the concept was funny. I came up with this idea after I made a few people scoop after this went off, so i thought that it would be kinda funny to try.

    DeckMagic OnlineOCTGN2ApprenticeBuy These Cards
    4 Cave of Koilos
    4 Underground River
    4 River of Tears
    4 Faerie Conclave
    4 Mystic Gate
    3 Adarkar Waste

    Creatures: (14)
    4 Zealous Gaurdian (he is a 1/1 anyway...why not?)
    4 Thistledown Leige (a 1/3...sure why not)
    3 Shreikmaw
    3 Godhead of Awe

    4 Steel of the Godhead
4 Blowfly Infestation (wrath of the Godhead card)
    4 Scar
4 Scarscale Ritual (sets of the AWE and draws cards)
4 Momentary Blink (Removes counters from awe)
    3 Turn to Mist

No SB yet, but I thought the idea was funny. It is merely a came of follow the bouncing -1/-1 counter until it ends on godhead, and then blink/mist it to remove it. Shreikmaw takes care of early threats until the Godhead lands. Seems like it might be a funny little thing to try.

Any ideas on how to make it work?

Hmm, I see what you mean, but I already play Shadowmage Infiltrator AND Mulldrifter in my build... Both are solid card-draw and while the Infiltrator beats down while drawing cards, the Mulldrifter has a great synergy with both Makeshift Mannequin and Turn to Mist. What do you say?
Again, it comes down to whether you want the card advantage from LD, or you are more of a Mannequin build. I think that Mulldrifter really works best in true Mannequin. You don't need as much of a card draw advantage when you are playing LD because they are usually going to be stuck with lots of cards in hand. You would end up holding on to way to many card because most of them would be doing anything.

I would go either the Shadowmage or the drifter...not both. You would be drawing way more cards than you would use.

Point taken. That definitley makes things a little better. You ever thought about Shadowmage Infiltratoras a way to do card draw? He does one right away, and unless you were going for a true mannequin, the evoked drifter can only be so good. I would rather tim for 1 everytime and draw then waste a turn on a mull drifter.

This is the list that I came up with. See what you think...

I don't have a SB yet, but it will definitely include shriekmaw and other things such as that. With this deck here, you can bounce and destroys lands to have a constant card advantage while simultaniously beating down with the faerie conclave, the Riftwing and Vensur. Or just profane command for a bunch.

The urborg allows you to get the swamps you need, making it easier to play more blue land in the deck. what do you think?

Drop 4 squall line (SB totally, not EVERYONE runs faeries) and 3 hellkite for 4 Molten Disaster and 3 Swans. You are already in the white for it, and that way, you have a beater AND a card draw source.

Just a funny little idea i saw.

I really think Boom//Bust is not an option for the deck... Destroying ALL lands is not really what I want to do.
Turn to Mist on the other hand could be really useful, I'll try that out for the Rite of Consumptions, since, as a sorcery, the Rites cannot be used to sac a creature cast with evoke, while Turn to Mist has a great synergy with CIP effects and evoke.
Boom//Bust works as a late game option. What you really use Boom//Bust for is the boom part. That way you trade a land (one of which is tapped). when you don't really need the extra land. Plus, that gets rid of there dual and man lands. At least go side board.

Another option, and I don't know if you considered this or not, but why not use some bounce. You can easily splash red w/ Auntie's Hovel and Shivan Reef and drop the Gargadon for Vensur, Shaper Savant or even Boomerang. that might be a nice option to keep you in the card advantage until you draw the land destruction.

Drop the Drove and the manamorphose for another pendelhaven and 4 kitchen finks. He may not be elves...but he abuses the hell out of Shield of the oversoul, plus he gains you 2 life on turn 3.

You could always run a seriously try color deck. No Grinder, but Boom//Bust would be great. Drop 3 consumption for 3 B//B. That way you can kill ALL land, and still have an advantage.

Also, a card that fits blue that would help you with some land destruction...try turn to mist. That would bring back your avalanche riders, or you could use it on the whompus in response to them sacing a land to put him on top of your library.

Plus, it fits in the blue.

Okay. My opponent plays a Murderous Redcap, and befores he assigns the damage, play a Barkshell Blessing on it, then saying he assigns 4 damage to me. Is that a legal move, or does the damage from redcap get assigned immediately coming into play?

    Hey all,

I'm relatively new to Constructed play, I usually stick to Limited (6-0 in last nights draft, woohoo!). Anywho, I love my Blink deck but I know there are some "untapped" tricks I don't know about that would help me in the Constructed meta-game. Here are some questions for you:

Momentary Blink vs. Champion Creatures: If I Momentary Blink a Championed creature, it leaves play, the championed creature comes back, but does the player get to re-champion his creature before it dies to the sacrifice rule?

Sower of Temptations: What are the best targets for Sower when you drop her originally? Elves? Kithkin? Faeries? RDW?

What do you find to be your biggest enemy? I have a rough time with Kithkin agro, I can deal with Red with Life Gain (Aven Riftwatchers / Ajani) but hate to waste the sideboard slot on Teferi's Moat, although it has been known to help with elves..

Are there any other interesting tricks that might not jump out at the average Blink player from the start?

You can turn that deck into a combo deck if you add Body Double.

It does seem kinda slow. Bonded Fetch can help you draw cards that you may actually want, and like I said, body double with the fetch will get your combo out in a hurry.
