The legendary crown was blithely stolen from Barbecue's template. I'm not fully happy with the template, though. the width of the gold piping could be a little bigger in my opinion. there's also some consistency issues with the coloring between the top bar and the bottom bar that need work.
I dig it! I especially like the use of the inner shadow on the text to get a cut-in effect. The only thing that I would do differently is use a smoother beveling effect on the rest of the card frame.
Hello! my first post here! I haven't played magic since Weatherlight, but my son has started playing, and it's a great fun for us to play the game together. In the past, I've made some alters for other games like Vampire: The Eternal Struggle and Legend of the Burning Sands, mostly as a way to create proxies for these games that aren't currently in print (though V:tES is rising from torpor once again). When I did play Magic, Lands were actually my favorite card, and I was always excited with each new set to see how they'd subtly alter the template.
For my first offering: Unhinged style dual lands. I modified Kentu's Unhinged land template to accommodate mana symbols, as well as used the same font for all of the writing at the bottom of the card.
I hope y'all enjoy! I really like the full bleed style and feel like there's some fun to be had with toying around with ideas.
I like that you don't reuse the same scroll effect for Dovin and Domri! it gives a slightly different feel to the cards.
