biggest thing to consider is ability to handle the volume and culture clash
i've spectated most of the championship seasons and watched fairly decent players struggle hard under the unfamiliarity aspect, as well as the unexpected volume
it is a championship, but the qualifying games are not championship caliber. there is a lot of noise, mediocre players spamming the thread with posts that can wildly vary in quality
it's very rewarding to participate in, especially if you manage to advance to the games where the player quality is actually decent, but it takes the skill set to deal with unconventional players, plus the dedication to participate in faster phase, high volume games
think that's suboptimal. you give town the chance to spew themselves clear or not w/w with you, especially d1 imo
strictly theory, not super relevant
Eh, like I said, it would be (more) for my own amusement and (somewhat) the potential to wreak havoc with reads/night actions. If town in that situation manage to clear themselves, good on them. My job would be to ensure that doesn't happen. Plus, more interaction (in general) I see as more enjoyable. Going dark feels like lurking, which is the antithesis of fun in a game of interactions. Same reason why I try not to lurk even as a PR: keeping your head down in the hopes scum leave you alone might yield a higher win rate, but it's not going to produce a fun game. (I unfortunately sometimes lurk because real life sucks and prevents me from posting, but that's a horse of a different color.)
understand that in general, but post-lynch is different imo
??? at people even considering he could still be a wolf after the hammer. i guess it's not impossible for there to be a governor type roll but generally can't post after lynch then
So many people just assuming that Shadow wouldn't troll is...eh...really bizarre to me. I'll go on record here and now so that people can point back to this. I will almost always troll as scum until the lynch scene unless I think it's really best to just go dark. Maybe that's me being a bad mafia player, but if I'm getting lynched as scum, that's my last chance to sow wifom and have some fun. Eh...*shrug*.

if I somehow die, think my last reads list is mostly still correct. vaimes/eco still town, vezo/LNG probably town - but keep wary eye on vezo due to claim reasons, tom/rhand thin town reads - Tom was stronger prior to the eod, but eh.
kinda think highroller is also thin town read now which is weird. cantripmancer and gj would be where I start looking d2. think riku is just a wolf

ugh. you ****s seriously lynched the top poster on d1 over highroller? i regret setting my alarm
also kinda surprised shadow actually is vt, heh
kinda assumed he was a pr fakeclaiming vt which was another reason I didn't want the lynch. still just don't really understand wagon on him, but guess gives something to look at overnight
half asleep skim of highrollers "about to maybe die" post actually looks sort of town maybe. he's completely missing the point, but feel like he believes it
Highroller (3): Shadow, rhand, tom
Shadow (3): Eco, Cantrip, ruma
Rumanshi (2): cheese, lngrr
Vez (1): GJ
Lngrr (1): Highroller
Rhand (1): vezok
Not voting (1): vaimes
we need 7 to lynch. day ends in 6 hours.
unvote ; vote: highroller
my preference is riku > highroller >>> shadow of the 3 wagons with multiple votes. i'll be back about 30-45 minutes before deadline, and will 100% swap back to riku if there are sufficient votes there at that time. for now, i need to get some sleep
what does it mean that highroller is voting lngrr instead of one of the competing wagons with him? is the lack of self-preservation here towny in nature coming from someone who has exclusively defended? idk. maybe?
i've read through highroller's iso in banned mafia, and i wanted to get more thoughts on that, but running out of time
it really reads different than his posting here - there's more questions, there's more like, comments and thoughts on things that are happening unrelated to him, and it just actually feels like he's participating in the game instead of just responding to and attacking people who suspect him
i dunno
the context is obviously a little bit different, in that he wasn't on the back foot and defensive immediately, and wasn't playing catchup after missing a chunk of the start of d1, but he displayed the kind of things there that i've been trying to get him to do here, so it's not a case of being incapable of talking about things happening in the game other than himself
which i guess makes it a little more likely that he's just a wolf here who is struggling to actually give fake reads, maybe
there's still some things that make me think he could be town, but at this stage i'm not sure if it's not just me playing devil's advocate with myself
neither one of those are happening d1 anyways, and we have like 9 hours until end of day
should table this for d2, just couldn't help myself for a minute
prioritize what i asked regarding comparing highrollers gameplay from the banned mafia, outside of the claim stuff at the start. basically, look at his mid-late d1 vs. his mid-late d1 here, and see what you think

gg, thanks for hosting grape

eod being a few hours after my usual sleep time is rough, let's hammer it in a slightly less rushed fashion going forward

zero chance we get a lynch on rhand in that time span

you think vez is fakeclaiming cop here?
what do you think about why i think rhand is town - the back and forth i had with him regarding his gj town read? - starting at post #286 (https://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/community-forums/mafia/804103-secret-agent-mafia-day-1-international-men-and?comment=286 for the lazy), just read through that exchange
