Ah, fair enough. Is there any particular reason for RW/ Sun and Moon's success?

Yes, it is a prison-style deck that specializes in blocking its opponent from playing spells, generally by playing Chalice of the Void on turn 1, or Blood Moon on turn 1-2 by using fast mana granted by Simian Spirit Guide and Gemstone Caverns. Since Modern is about mana efficiency, a Chalice on 1 blocks a lot of decks from functioning.

It also is a Planeswalker-heavy deck, which most decks in Modern are unsuited to deal with, except by attacking them with creatures. Thus, it runs several board wipes.

As for graveyard decks, and artifact decks, playing white allows it to play Rest in Peace and Stony Silence in its sideboard.

It has not seen much play in the past year, since it appears to be rather weak to Control decks and some combo decks, and because people don't like playing against Prison decks at casual and FNM events.

Thanks for the swift reply, I think I'll do some digging on R/W then.

    Happy New Year all!

I am hoping to get back into modern with using the flavourful combo of Nahiri, the Harbinger and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. I know this deck had its time to shine some time ago, and that it has fallen out of the ever increasing "gotta go fast meta" yet I still want to play it because of how fun it is.

That in no way however means that it can't try and be a little bit competitive, which brings me to the question of:

    - If I were to play a deck revolving around the Nahiri + Emrakul combo, what is the best deck archetype to complement it between Jeskai and R/W? I simply cannot decide and am ultimately leaving it up to what you guys think would be the most practical in today's meta.

    Thanks in advance!
