@Dale Dan Tony: I know what you mean. Feels like we've gotten more hate for hexproof things the last few years than we have decent hexproof things.
Hopefully it signals a return of some actually solid Graveyard mechanics, but my guess is they're trying to dull them down to being really risky decks to play. I don't really enjoy degenerate graveyard combo decks like what Dredge is in modern, but I do like things like Seasons Past and cards that have some graveyard value.
Glad to see that Wizards still LOVES to hose my favorite strategy (Graveyards), while still making Graveyard strategies weaker and weaker with each set. NICE. Also digging the random selfie attached to the spoiler.
Pretty lame legend if you ask me. Sure, it's decent, but I am not digging the legendary treatment in this set for cards below rare. This is JUST an uncommon with legendary tacked on.
I don't think it works as a straight shift to red, as the return to hand is definitely not a red ability. I could see a Phoenix with mountaincycling and an ability to put it onto the battlefield instead of the hand, but the repeated cycling is at best a huge bend in mono red. (note namewise, though, there's already a card called Flamewake Phoenix)
At the time, it was a bend it white as well. I think it's fine, as Phoenix cards can reanimate/etc. It seems a little awkward but I feel it is not a huge color pie break; and adds an interesting card to red without breaking the color pie. There are other red cards that mountaincycle, as well as being a Dragon, it fits.
Koma's Faithful leaves me to believe that the legendary Snake Koma will be a B/G mythic, which excites me a lot. That's also some awesome art for Village Rites.
Damn i hoped something cooler for "sculptor of winter"
What is that angel doing with the shades' ability? Give it back!
I wonder if snow will appear in all colors, or maybe it will be kinda like party, where one color got the shaft
I am assuming it will be in all colors just because we received Snow basics and some other commons across the color pie. Perhaps only colors like green and black will get rares though? Hard to say.
Sorry, Flamewake Dragon didn't post the first time around. It should be on there now. It's essentially a colorshifted Eternal Dragon. I wanted Red to have a recurring threat and some mana fixing in its own color, and it makes for a decent reanimation target as well.
I agree that the white card is pushed; maybe I will lessen the tax.

Whenever a land enters the battlefield under an opponent's control, if it wasn't the first land that entered the battlefield under their control this turn, you may search your library for a basic Plains card and put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle your library unless that opponent pays 2. Even if it is a 6 mana wrath; it's still the first time we have seen a Black Wrath that kills all creatures in standard. Lately we have been getting cards that give -3/-3 to every creature, or only kill some creatures.
This might be playable.
I wish Seasons Past was still in Standard. I would love to play a BG snow ramp/control deck.

I'm so excited for the Legendary Snake! Although I hope that it is Black/Green.
