Here's to hoping the Zombie Commander deck has an actual Zombie Legend card to support the tribe. I'm hoping Gisa and Geralf aren't here again. I like them as characters but having an actual Zombie helps the tribe a lot more. Maybe a Lich?
I mean Varina and Nevinyrral already exists. If you really want to go dimir zombie tribal with a zombie legends there is always Grimgrin...
Unless they print a grixis zombie tribal legend, it will be a boring legendary
That's nonsense. Werewolves are always flipped, it's their raison d'etre.
werewolf pack leader
If werewolves don't find another niche besides transforming, they will always have these logistic issues and a true werewolf precon will be impossible
i think there were mentions of the midnight hunt commander decks have flip commanders

Please god no, Planechase is a nightmare and once the novelty wears off everyone who has ever tried it grows to hate it. Deckbuilding and skill are completely negated and it becomes all about who rolls better and which random plane helps who the most. I collected every deck to acquired every plane as they were released, including promos, and I can say unequivocally that there hasn't been a worse variant format to date.
I wouldn't say everyone. My LGS has a planechase night because it's so popular. I think the randomness is strong, but it also gives players a chance to have weird games. Deckbuilding doesn't go out the window; some of the planes will sync well with different decks people play. Besides, if someone hits a busted plane, you know everyone else will try to roll out of it.
In the most recent questionnaire released by WotC, they ask a few questions about Planechase Commander. Would we like a product like this? It sounds like they're putting something in the works.
Planechase is something I have seen many people request again, and is a fun and unique addition to any Magic game. I for one support this and would love to see what kinds of designs they come up with.
Well, I definitely want that Giant. I don't know if it's a good Commander, but it does look fun. Maybe I can finally play Giant Tribal, despite the lack of Red. The Art on the Dragon is beautiful, but it's kind of a letdown that it's so small and has an ability we have seen a few times before. The Illithid is... interesting. I am not sure how effective that ability could be, but at least it's something different. The Beholder is a tad bit boring, but I like these effects because it promotes some political schemes.
Also, I would love to play a variant Commander where I could use Staff of Orcus!
I don't see why not. Although this is a "Crossover" set, they're made from the same company and already have many similarities. It probably just depends on the set to be honest.
I'm interested in seeing what the Monsters Legends are. The BR is likely a Demon or Devil, the RG deck is probably a Dragon, but what about the other two? Maybe WUB is a Lich, and GWU is a... Giant? Not sure what that one would be.
OWLBEAR! This means we will be getting the Commander Deck teaser from Gavin soon as well, I imagine. I am also very excited for these in particular, and wonder what they could be:
• “Enchanted permanent is a Treasure artifact” --- Probably a new white removal spell, if I had to guess. I suppose it could be blue, black or red as well, depending on what flavor they're going for.
• “You may cast [THIS CREATURE’S NAME] from your graveyard if a creature not named [THIS CREATURE’S NAME] died this turn.” --- Hopefully this is a cool new Black Demon or something.
• “Exchange your hand and library” --- A new Enter the Infinite type of card?
• “Skeletons, Vampires and Zombies” --- Hopefully a Legendary "Undead" Lord, that finally lets you play these three tribes together in a mono black deck!
Felisa seems really good. It's not hard to throw a bunch of counters on creatures you control, and then have them die off via combat or sacrifice in order to generate seas of inklings. Plus, she has evasion and a way to put counters on creatures herself. Idk, it looks good on paper to me, and I know how crazy things like Cathars' Crusade can get.
The new cards are all pretty cool and unique, which I can really appreciate. They are dedicated to the deck's theme and look like fun and strong cards (although maybe not competitive, but that's okay. I'm more in it for the casual gameplay anyway.) Kinda sad they misprinted Zaffai's name in the text box, but I guess that gives it some weird collector value?
Out of the new cards, I think Veyran and the octopus entices me the most along with the reusable Suspend cards (which I always thought were interesting from the Time Spiral Block).
Good guesses, but I hope some of those mentions for the Witherbloom deck are not in there. They're really... bad for Commander. Predator's Rapport? I mean we need to see like the best reprints for Black and Green that function around lifegain/drain in order to make this deck work.
I would also love for Dread to be reprinted. I've loved that card for such a long time and have awaited its return as a reprint. This would be a good place for it; I am hoping that WotC doesn't forget about it. Wouldn't it be cool if it had new art and kinda looked like a giant Inkling Monstrosity?
They said there are no flip cards

I hope not. That one sounds like the most boring one of the bunch. I'm hoping Loading Ready Run doesn't slow-roll this one though.

Since you and the opponent do it, I think it means "Your" as in you guys, or collectively all of you, if that makes sense.
Also, I am very happy Magister of Worth got reprinted. I love that card and I am excited to see its return.
Always gotta make us wait
