Every card with "triggers once each turn" is such a disappointment. I know it's to prevent them from being broken, but still... it just ends up being trash instead.
It really needed an additional effect to like... idk, discsrd, draw for mana?
Cultivar….HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! …Okay……how many ways can we break this because that’s the most busted ETB a have ever seen! And to make break the game amulet of vigor
first up abundance you just get all the lands period
The colossus is pretty nuts. I love the artwork as well.
I don't feel like it's desigbed for werewolf decks. It's not a werewolf itself, it's actually slower than you think, and it involves tthe graveyard. Seems more like a generically good red card.
While I agree not every product is for everyone, I must ask, who is this product geared towards? The gullible?
What's gullible about it? It's just drafting both sets in one. You could buy two boxes or just buy this one and get some weird art cards. If you love drafting, then it's probably something you'd like to pick up for a new drafting exoerience. I'm interested in seeing if they just mash the tep sets together or cut cards out and trim it.
This subpar redundant grayscale product should be boycotted completely. Honestly, just leave it on store shelves for the next two decades and send an important message, because obviously, Wizards just wants to save on printing costs by reducing their consumption of color toner, and if these packs aren't cheaper to buy than their colored counterparts (regardless of the print run which we won't know anyway), they're essentially profiting even more than usual (excessively by any metric) at the consumer's expense. This is insulting, unacceptable, and functionality notwithstanding, at best, these cards art artificial collectibles, perhaps even more gimmicky and unattractive to me as full-text basic lands which so far is the frontrunner of terrible marketing ideas.
They should've just reprinted Dark Ascension, given the planeswalkers alternate art, and called the product Spark Ascension instead
I mean... sure they will make more money in theory if people buy it... but since when are we against them making money? Do you want to see them fail? It doesn't hurt us in any way, and it's not predatory like Secret Lairs. A lot of people like the black and white versions. I don't see your point as something anyone should be concerned about. If you don't like it, don't buy it.
I do think it would have been better if they mixed in old cards from Innistrad and Shadows over Innistrad, but I don't see anything inherently wrong with them making this product
I kinda wish instead of redoing the new cards from Crim Vow & Mid Hunt, they reprinted cards from Innistrad block and made it a combined draft set. That way you could draft the old Innistrad sets and even maybe do a special draft experience where you combine the old with the new!
Idk... I feel like Madness was more of a SoI block thing to fit alongside Emrakul's influence. You're reading too much into it. Red and Black have had discard outlets for things before.. it's not an uncommon piece of their identity. I think they will have abilities based on if an opponent lost life/was dealt damage this turn. This fits the theme of vampires getting riled up from smelling blood.
I’ve been thinking some more golos might be the greatest ban in the history of commander
Because for once the RC banned a card that’s a money maker card for the company’s and now they lost it. In other words this will truely give a indication to WOTC to not make cards 5-color commanders as bonkers as golos
this is why I fully believe in kamigawa neon dynasty if we get a 5-color spirit tribal legend it won’t be a “good stuff” commander.
I'm cool with 5 color Commanders, I just think they should have a theme or be hard to cast. Tiamat is fine because it wants you to play dragons. Golos just let you play all the best cards and quickly enabled that strategy.
Culling Ritual in standard could do the trick!
