now you're out until bare minimum the set rotates.

they'll be all over standard, and if you want to participate because its an entire set you WILL have to buy in. so now you get to sit out of standard for like 2 years.

Here’s an idea, read the announcement before coming on here and pitching a fit over something that IS NOT HAPPENING.

The Giants (Titans) ones are a giant middle finger from Wizards to us. First, include Primeval, which is banned in EDH. Second, exclude Sun Titan, which sees more EDH play than any of the other OG Titans. Third, breaking it up into TWO sets, when the Black is Magic lair shows they’re willing to do a 7 card set, and combining these would only be 6, and again that’s with unforgivably leaving one out. Fourth, they have two different price tags, despite both having the same theme and the same number of cards? Wizards just s******g all over us.

Are you low on Sun Titans or something?
It literally just got reprinted, and has had many more printings than Primeval (MANY commander decks including both recent Zendikar and Kaldheim commander decks, the alt art Heroes vs Monsters Duel deck, alt art Prerelease promo...) Where was Primeval reprinted with alternate art beyond the Grand Prix Promo? And then there was the Alternate Grave Titan DoTP promo which wasn't even available where I live and somehow got credited to the wrong artist. That's the Titan screw up you should be upset about, but I digress.
Why do you assume Secret Lair products are only geared towards commander players?
They can't throw modern a bone on occasion?
Geez, this is one of those Lairs I saw and instantly thought everyone would be happy with until I started reading and noticed the pending banning, which in all honesty is unsurprising, even if I'd prefer they unban something else in said formats instead to balance the playing fields. It it really so impossible to sideboard vs Uro, or are people just too lazy and not including the right cards in sideboards?
Regardless of the banning and absence of sun titan which I could care less about, I'll be buying some of these for sure without hesitation.
I'm just curious...How much more value do you want them to print, box up, and ship you at a discount (compared to the current secondary market value of the cards included) for such a product to be worth your time and interest? Personally, I'm happy to pay shipping, exchange to CAD, and duty above the tag and tax.
Perhaps if there was a "build-your own" Secret Lair where you can choose any five commons, four uncommons, three rares, and two mythics (from any previous secret lair product) it would be "worth it"?

If you think the secondary market price of Sun Titan was my point, you’re beyond clueless.

For those of us with bad vision:

    Sarulf, Realm Eater 1BG
    Legendary Creature - Wolf
Whenever a permanent an opponent controls is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on Sarulf, Realm Eater.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if Sarulf has one or more +1/+1 counters on it, you may remove all of them. If you do, exile each other nonland permanent with converted mana cost less than or equal to the number of counters removed this way.
    3/3

I'm guessing this strictly better Pernicious Deed on legs is supposed to be the Fenrir stand-in. I'm guessing it's the Wizards email spoiler.

this is nowhere near being strictly better. With Deed you can control the size of X and save some of the permanents you want saved, here you can’t. With Deed you can do it at any time you want, here you can’t.

I don’t think you understand what “strictly better” means.

For 9 mana you don’t even get creatures as well?

For a set focused solely on Commander, Wizards sure didn’t do enough to address White’s shortcomings in the format, despite Maro and Gavins assurances they’d be addressing them.

ALL you winers should hear yourself "Ban it!" "I'm not playing WITH THAT!" "It'll break the game!"

Guess what! It's ONLY good for casting the Commander, not any activated abilities. Can't be used w/ a 4+ color deck that well. 3 color decks will struggle w/ it. 1 color & 2 color will use it.

"BUT what about recursion???" So what? They get to cut their Commander's recast cost by 3, maybe 6 if they dump other resources, time & mana into getting it back.

Personally? I like it. Anyone who doesn't like it or won't play it can send 'em to me. I'll find plenty of uses.

Also, colorless mana isn't a color, so for those that are thinking colorless decks, look elsewhere.

Time walk was weakened w/ 3 - 5 cost cards (or as w/ Final Fortune & other's that outright kill you if you do not win that turn, for a 2 mana costs). So many variations of the Moxen come out; no one bats an eye...

Snooze-fest here... you don't like it, don't play it. Just don't have a conniption fit when someone else does.

Now settle down class; it's not going to get an emergency banning:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveEDH/comments/jkk8m7/rules_committee_says_jeweled_lotus_will_not_see/

Rules committee are A-OK w/ it. Either go along w/ the Jonses or get left behind:

    Wrong.

Colorless decks most certainly can use it, so long as you aren’t using it for C-specific mana costs. There is nothing stopping me from making 3 white/blue/black/red/green mana to cast my Kozilek, Butcher of Truth commander. Spend 5 minutes on EDHREC and see just how many Eldrazi-led decks run LED’s. Or let me save you 5 minutes, the answer is pretty much every one where budget isn’t an issue.

So, question: The rider that the mana can only be used to cast a commander is pretty 2sticky", right? For example, if you sack it and have Horizon Stone in play, then at the end of a phase it gets transformed into colorless mana - however, that colorless mana can still only be used to cast a commander. Right?

Correct, the mana can only be used to cast your commander. Per the Kruphix entry in Gatherer “If unused mana in your mana pool has any restrictions or riders associated with it (for example, if it was produced by Cavern of Souls), those restrictions or riders will remain associated with that mana when it becomes colorless.”

I have a Kozilek deck full of Eldrazi and was hoping I could use Horizon Stone to float mana from my Workshop to allow me to use Workshop’s mana to cast Eldrazi, but it doesn’t work that way, and it likewise can’t be used to cast anything other than your commander.
