The funniest play I have ever seen was at a mirrodin/rav FNM. Two very experinced players where playing a match with some sort of control decks on both sides. From about turn 4 to the end of the game, both players had a Jitte in play. every time someone would walk over to the table, their eyes would go wide, and we would have to shush them right away. at the end of the game, we point out the fact they had 2 copes of a legendary card in play. One of the players falls out of his seat. fountatly the loser was a good sport about it.
Yeah, I kinda want to move this off of demigod. Playtesting w/ him is cool if you have the time and intrest, but It may be more constuctive to imporve the deck in current standered environmet. we have a while untill shadowmoor, and there will 100% be things we want in this deck, demi may or may not be one of them
I like Xpolo's version the best of anything I have seen. The one change I would make is to drop 1 or two earwigs for mad auntie. With all the tokens, you double your non-farie power without overextending into ***, Damnation, blast, pyroclasm. I do not find the earwigs to conductive to what the deck wants to do, namely drive for the win with a pile of goblins+ shared animosity
I do not think this will be the prerelease card, before now the card has not been offically spoiled. That said, I think it is a really cool design, possibly part of a cycle of demigods, and that R/B will be a competitive deck with SM.
What turn do you kill on in genral? This seems to slow to be competitve on many of the aggro decks in the format. Also, don't you get killed by ***? With no card draw, you would be hard pressed to recover from mass removel.
Wait what? I don't get your last paragraph. How will my faeries hit for 2 a piece if I target myself with sudden spoiling? They'd become 0/2's...and hit for nothing. I don't get it? Am i missing something with sudden spoiling.
He is saying if they have Doran out, your fae deal damage based on toughness, which is now 2 b/c of sudden spoiling.
I don't like mogg war marshel without GG. This deck wants to come out of the gates blazing, and MWM gives you 2 1/1s without haste on seprate turns. The only use I see would be for blocking, and we would want to burn the threat/take the damage 9 times out of 10. I may be missing somthing, so what use do they usally serve in games? (only for people who don't run GG)
Story Circle in the deck is almost a must, as it outright stops mono-g warriors, rouges, RDW, MBC, Storm, and still will impact many, many other decks in a negitive way.
Well, sure, but the point is that he puts your opponent into a situation they don't want to be in. This deck likes that. He isn't that hard to kill, but the catch is he must be killed.
@mikey- If you add 4 sulf blasts in SB, (or even a few in MD) you should have a good match game 2. blast is wrath vs. elves, rogues, some gobs. The weird burn seems to be racable at a guess, but IDK list. Goblins is a hard MU for me, but you should have a good shot at 1 or 2 spot. be sure to post results!
How is the sliver working for you? it seems too slow for early game and you would need 7 mana to makeshift and activate it on the same turn. I guess at EOT then pay on you turn, but feels kinda slow. would like O ring be better here?
Is there a sidebord option vs. story circle? also, is Martar of ashes good vs rogues? I would think so, but with all our burn, we may not need it. also, would you guys sidebord sulfer elemental in vs kithkin? i kinda feel that it might hurt more then it helps, but i have not playtested that machup at all.
Assuming I play a 2 power warrior with Obsidion Battle-Axe in play, can my opponent shock the warrior before the axe is attached? does attaching use the stack? Thanks in advance for answers.
