Teach by Example is a bad version of Split Decision (which has the weird 'will of the council' mechanic, but ultimately it's the same card except it costs 1U and allows you to copy your opponent's spells as well).

It’s strictly better in non blue decks? I can see playing this in RW, RB and Mardu. I value flexibility highly in a 2 player environment.

Thanks again for pulling this project together, the Average Peasant Cube list is a really useful tool and it's great to have access to all the raw data.

I color coded the list on CubeTutor. The filter function on that site is much easier to use in my experience. I didn't filter or categorize the cards on CubeCobra. In my experience that wasn't something I used on CubeCobra very much just due to the interface. If you are disappointed by this and want me to categorize CubeCobra as well, I certainly can.

I know that I personally would gain some value from having the tags applied to the CubeCobra list. Primarily for the cube-to-cube comparison tool, where CC lets you filter for tags while comparing cubes and CT does not.

CubeCobra appears to have a Mass Edit function to add tags, but I'm not sure how it compares to CubeTutor's interface.

I agree with Mitas that this would be nice if it's not too much work.

Thanks for putting the list together! Probably a good thing that the mail system is quite stressed these days, as I will at least contemplate my next update and orders for a couple of weeks.

I've looked forward to this project since the first set of 2020.

My cube is only 240 cards and designed for two players, so I understand if you give it a pass. Cube link is in my signature.

    Is Rhox Veteran good?

It's been good in my cube. In aggressive RW go wide og BW aristocrats it helps push through even more damage. I think the combination of battle cry, tapping a defender and toughness 4 is a great design.

Has anyone tried or had success trying a version of persist combo at peasant? We lose out on a couple decent combo pieces (Anafenza and Melira), but for the most part it's a bunch of common and uncommon cards. I'll also admit that it's a clunky combo and probably a clunky deck.

If you don't know what the combo is it looks like this:

Sac Outlet (Carrion Feeder, Viscera Seer, etc.) + Persist Creature (Putrid Goblin, Kitchen Finks) + Counter Manipulator (Good-Fortune Unicorn, Vizier of Remedies) + Payoff (Blood Artist, Corpse Knight) = Infinite Damage

If your sac outlet happens to be Goblin Bombardment or if your persist creature happens to be Murderous Redcap, then it doubles as your payoff and makes the combo a bit less clunky (but only just a bit).

Ideally you would be able to include enough pieces that are good in multiple decks that you could reasonable support it across four colors (WBRG), so it's easier to come together.

Anyway, I was just noticing that the deck is mostly peasant legal and wondered if anyone here had given it a shot or is currently running it. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts and experiences with the archetype.

I had the deck come together during a 2 player draft. My deck contained the following pieces:
Persist: Kitchen Finks and Murderous Redcap
+1/+1 counter: Renata and Rhytm of the wild
Sac outlets: Goblin Bombardment and Carrion Feeder.

I also had Demonic Tutor, to help assembling the combo. The rest of the deck were decent creatures and removal, so the deck was capable of winning without assembling the combo.

I think we played 3 games. Given only two pieces of each kind, I was a bit lucky to assemble it twice. In the first game my wife had leathal, but didn't really know the combo and she thought she had control. The second time I would probably have won anyway due to overwhelming board pressence.

Her deck was an agressive BR, and she won of Weaponize the monsters in one game. This made us realize that those cards have slightly different uses. Goblin Bombardment is better for persist combo and gaining value against control decks as you don't need to hold up mana. Weaponize the Monsters is a great finisher for creature/token heavy aggressive decks.

Our cube is only 200 cards, and supporting persist combo is easier as most of the pieces are strong enough for any non-combo deck.

posted a message on Duplicate Sealed 'cube'
I considered doing something similar after buying into pioneer. I had cards for red aggressive decks, but couldn't decide on which splash I wanted to play. I considered splitting the cards into two identical (sealed) piles, and each player would have to build a 30 card deck with max 2 duplicates in the list. The possible lists would include mono red, izzet prowess, boros burn and attarka red. I also considered making two sealed pools with my abzan cards.

Perhaps it is not neccessary to include all 5 colours? Some ideas if you want to include a lot of multicolour cards:
    1. Pick only 3 colours. This will leave you room for more gold cards
    2. Focus on 1 or 2 colours with options to splash for powerful gold cards.

I have a two player peasant cube with 180 cards. To make 2 colour decks viable, I had to cut down to 1 gold card pr. guild and only include lands that can fix for any colour. I guess fetch+shock lands will be an option when including rares.
