Touché. I do tend to make things more complicated than they are. Thanks for the explanation and your time. I understand cloudshiftis a better fit for zealous Conscripts as well.
I think I know what you mean. Thanks. I swear, check out the rulings on polymorphous rush. They are complicated AF. Especially the ones involved with effects given by the likes of giant growth and lands that are creatures at the time of being copied. My brain is melting.
So, if I am understanding, polymorphous rush makes a creature something else until end of turn but if it is blinked by a spell like Ephemerate it comes back as a new permanent of what it used to be because it has no memory of what it was turned in to? I'm sorry but are you sure. I'm sure you are, but the explanation/comparison to zealous Conscripts example is difficult to understand. You stated that it comes back as the creature but not knowing who was it's OG controller. Why is it not the case when blinking in a creature affected by polymorphous rush. Why does it not come in as it's new form and not knowing it's OG form? As it's text states: Choose a creature on the battlefield. Any number of target creatures you control each become a copy of that creature until end of turn.
Emphasis on become:
The creature taken by Zealous Conscripts becomes your creature and when it is blinked it becomes a new permanent *of that same creature* that remembers it's new controller that is not affected by the "until end of turn" caveat.
What makes the blink mechanic different when blinking a creature affected by Zealous Conscripts. From what I've read, the creature, after being flickered, remains in the control of the player who took control of it using aforementioned spell indefinitely.
If I make creature B a copy of creature A with Polymorphous Rush and, before the end step, I cast a spell like Ephemerate on creature B, what happens to it when it comes back to the battlefield? Does it come back as the copy of creature A, or does it come back as creature B? And if it comes back as creature B, will it remain creature B forever because it is now a new permanent after the flicker? Also, what if creature B is a token?
Let's say an opponent plays Dust Bowl targeting a nonbasic land I control, can I tap Navigator's Compass to have said nonbasic land be a basic land as well so that my nonbasic land could be immune to Dust Bowl's wrath?
In response I cast another Ally creature spell as Flash in accordance to Prophet of Kruphix's 2nd static ability, triggering Bala Ged Thief's triggered ability.
Can I have opponent discard the card he played and can it be explained to me why it can or why it cannot?
Is it possible to choose as a creature type Elemental for Unclaimed Territory and use it to turn Stirring Wildwood into an Elemental 3/4 creature using said Unclaimed Territory?
Emphasis on become:
The creature taken by Zealous Conscripts becomes your creature and when it is blinked it becomes a new permanent *of that same creature* that remembers it's new controller that is not affected by the "until end of turn" caveat.
Please explain, this is complicated stuff.
I end my turn with a Bala Ged Thief and a Prophet of Kruphix on the battlefield.
My opponent is top-decking. On his untap step, I untap due to Prophet of Kruphix 1st static ability.
Opponent casts a Murder to destroy my Prophet of Kruphix.
In response I cast another Ally creature spell as Flash in accordance to Prophet of Kruphix's 2nd static ability, triggering Bala Ged Thief's triggered ability.
Can I have opponent discard the card he played and can it be explained to me why it can or why it cannot?
