What do you recommend (in the current, pre-Recruiter/Sanctum Prelate shell) for sideboarding for an enchantment/stax type deck?

Serenity. Run a tutor-board (Enlightened Tutor), and make them weep.

I don't think E Tutor is where we want to be with Recruiter now. With 4 Flickerwisp, 2 Council's Judgment and a creature target, probably Leonin Relic-Warder is best, one can usually disrupt Enchantment/Artifact based lock decks long enough to grab a win.

Is winter orb now a sideboard option? Together with THC it shut down miracles and rg lands.

Winter Orb HAS been a fine sideboard option against Miracles/Lands/Post predating Eldritch Moon/Thalia, Heretic Cathar. It already provides a powerful asymmetrical effect given DnT's use of Æther Vial. Adding it to any combination of Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Wasteland and Rishadan Port ensures these mana hungry decks don't execute their game plans.

+1 to Crackdown being both fine before and even better now.

I can play the mirror, but it just comes down to who gets the vial and port lock or mangara lock first really, in my eyes. Just looking for an upper hand on the mirror or DnT variants.

The mirror is rarely about any single card. Pretty much every card you can play can be invalidated at some point during the match by some combination of Revoker, Pithing Needle, Wasteland, Flickerwisp, Mangara, Mother of Runes...you get the idea. The mirror is won by constant evaluation and revelation of your role. To some extent this is based on your 75, but largely this is a process of evaluating your hand and your opponent's hand and successfully identifying your role. Experience and tight play is key. I rarely, if ever, find the need to side specific cards for the mirror; the general cards you have will be more than enough.

I've found the mirror and Maverick for that matter to be about active Mother of Runes - I side in Gut Shot, Council's Judgment, I would bring in a pro:White sword if it is in the board, any additional removal for Jitte is welcome. I feel like Jitte and Mother are the two defining cards. I value Legendary Creatures less in this match up as opposing Karakas can interact as needed. Related I want to save my Wastelands to deal with said Karakas. Hope this helps.

    Wear/Tear
Council's Judgment seems such more reasonable.

Agreed. Turning Wear/Tear from annoying Equipment destruction into a potential 2 for 1 is something to be considered. Judgment is much better - it can be STP 5-6 against a Delver in a pinch if we're not hitting our STPs/Fliers. Most of the time we just want to exile Jitte - if they want a bolt a turn from TNN we can likely race.

Is Cataclysm that good? I can't recall ever casting it (in my short D&T career) or wanting it, I have seen lists with 1 do well and 2 do well, I know it's a good card but as a 4 drop you have to resolve in legacy, is it worth it? What is it good against? Besides maybe lands

It is good against Miracles, 12 Post, Lands and BUG Planeswalkers.

I think that in a green splash if you want a land toolbox the go to card would be Knight of the Reliquary, not Crop Rotation, because Thalia and it not being a creature that can hold a sword.

Keep in mind that I'm not advocating for KotR to be included in the deck.

    2nd'd on both points.

KotR "does more" in this deck. (attacks, blocks, ambushes off Vial, carries equipment, discourages 'traps' like Remote Farm, etc.

I don't advocate running it in W(g) DnT. Once we dip into KotR I'd just look at Luis Viciano's lists of Vial Maverick that play like a hybrid of this deck and GSZ Maverick and take full advantage of running Green (Scavening Ooze, Scryb Ranger and Sylvan Safekeeper).

Mother of Runes protecting Ethersworn Canonist is pretty solid against Omnitell. Emrakul cast for free through Omniscience is still an issue though.

I must ask, now that Treasure Cruise is banned, does that mean Spirit of the Labyrinth can now be taken out of the main deck? What do we replace it with? I am excited since I never really liked her in the maindeck.

I have no interest in playing Spirit MD in a post-Cruise metagame; I prefered Teeg to her even when TC was everywhere. To start I'm going to try moving back to mono-White. I'm reupping Revoker to x4 expecting an uptick in TNN (+ Jitte), Deathrite/Liliana decks and Miracles. Moving from Gaddock Teeg to a 3rd Serra Avenger and 2nd Mirran Crusader since every archetype isn't running 7+ cards that get hit by him.

    Question number two:

Should you board in Grafdigger's Case against Storm? This is really two separate questions: "Should you board it in against ANT?" and "Should you board it in against TES?"

For those of you less familiar with the Storm archetypes, I suggest reading this article before answering: http://www.starcitygames.com/article/26624_Comparative-Storming.html

I think it depends a bit on list. Rest in Peace and Relic of Progenitus I think are stronger GY hate options here since they actually remove the cards from the GY. Keeping opponents off Threshold or clause on Rite of Flame in addition to turning off Past in Flames. The wins facilitated by Flashback are usually not turn 1. Given that Rite of Flames still functions properly with Cage in play (as does Ill Gotten Gains) against TES you're only attacking Past in Flames and turning off FB Cabal Therapy from an Empty Token to take out stabilizing power (Batterskull).

Our STPs are dead. Jitte/SoFaI are pretty slow for their impact. Against ANT I usually leave the Sword of Fire and Ice in to give something to buff a hatebear out of Massacre range (pro Chain of Vapor/Pyroclasm/Void Snare), increase clock and continue pressure. I honestly don't have many reps in against TES. I feel like Jitte is a little better in the match where they're more likely to go for Goblins and are a bit faster. The Equipment in general is far from great though. If I cut a piece I don't mind trimming a SFM too, just to keep those awkward Squires from showing up when you really need a 2cc that pumps their breaks.

I for sure like 2 Ethersworn Canonist, 1 Rest in Peace, 1 Enlightened Tutor, and one additional GY hate card. Against ANT I don't mind bringing in Pithing Needle as an extra turn 1 play and just naming preventative Polluted Delta (unless they let it be Sinkhole and elect to not crack a different Fetch in response). I could see the argument for bringing in extra cost effective attackers - SB Spirits, Priests, Avens etc.

TLDR: 2 GY hate cards and the ETutor to get them. I'd probably go with Cage on the draw and the 2nd RiP on the play.

    @everyone
RE: Gaddock Teeg and his applications, he is also very good versus Storm because they can't cast Ad Nauseum, Tendrils of Agony, and Empty the Warrens, which strikes me as very relevant.

    +Massacre, +Past in Flames

You guys remember how Jötun Grunt was a thing a couple of years ago? Has anyone tried using him to further hose Treasure Cruise?

Grunt's application was discussed atleast in theory as Treasure Cruise was starting to saturate the format. Persons' worries were that TC players would be draining their GY's the turn that Jotun entered play and thus it wouldn't have substantial GY cards to fuel it's cumulative upkeep, suicide, which would really be the last thing someone needs when their opponent is resolving Ancestral Recall.

I agree with SwordsToTimeshares/LucaGrease/mykatdied that Teeg addresses Cruise while combating a bunch of other issue cards.

Dropping Legacy Opens definitely sucks. I'm making the jog out to PDX and Seattle back to back weeks in Dec., guess Portland is the last of the 10ks see some of you there. I'll be at the Seattle IQ too, but am obviously less enthused than I was when the prize support was doubled...

Holy ***** some of the cards are more than paper! Anyone have a suggestion for a budget version?

It's the Ports and Wastelands that are really expensive right? I would pick up the dudes, and equipment. Maybe jam some Ghost Quarters while saving up for the better disruption lands - it's definitely not as good but atleast deals with opposing Karakas, Grove of the Burnwillows, Tabernacle, etc.
