Seeing how it's the last day, I might just get this out of the way, retaining that I'm still somewhat lost, and claim town protective. It's a weak role, making me think like there's probably another protective out there. Wouldn't know how frequent certain roles appear.
Keeping my presence is a thing I noticed I'm struggling with. Bear with me, it's a new format for me and I'm just trying my best to be useful. I realize that it's an area I need to get better in and I'll try to strengthen that suit of my gameplay.
It's not your thread presence alone.
Re strikes me as towny too, their reasonings being pretty justifiable and from a meta example, they're slow to vote, so I've a pretty strong towny leaning on them.
Meta example? Slow to vote?
The quick games yesterday. Meta meaning out of thread in this case. Maybe I worded it weirdly, but your votes were slower when you were town.
How does my response unnerve you? You put reasoning in every other decision than me and then proceeded to vote.
Your vote on Mikey carries much weight despite you lacking presence in the thread. While you provided reasoning, it's not backed up by the same amount of explanation, or depth, or interactions with Mikey as the other players voting him. It comes off as scum cementing a lynch.
And this is where I disagree with vez. I don't think you are lock scum if Mikey is scum. I just think the way you wrote that post comes off as ingenuine.

I'd like to say that I'm still leaning GJ as scum, as the things Mikey kept on saying filled me with distrust. Pitching a tantrum at the end doesn't look good either, whatever happened in the game and people already had solid reasons to vote him.
Tom's very hard to read for me. The caps throw me off heavily, but I'm certain that he's more town than scum.

Vezok seems to just be jumping wagons, trying to get an easy lynch in. I'd like to say that I'm moving more towards scum with them.
The rest is more neutral than I'd like.
Regarding Mikey, his reactions seemed very offputting. If GJ could convince me that he's not scum, I'll be more than happy to unvote him. But I don't think the leads Mikey's left with his plays should be thrown out the window, even if it wasn't so well executed.
If mikey slot flips scum this is 100% scum too.
You had the same idea behind it. You sure you're not scum instead?

What does this mean? What leads?
It means that his suspicious plays before the replacement still make the role look suspicious, but that if GJ makes it not look so suspicious, I'll move back my vote.
Well, I already found his post/vote on Mikey suspicious. Regardless of Mikey's flip.
Should probably add a few brief thoughts, even if I haven't read the thread as properly as I should have.
>Cantrip v. the worst - the worst comes off way worse. think cantrip's reply in #359 is the main influence here.
>dan - no idea. might just be a playstyle clash. haven't had the time to do a meta dive. i would say soft claim is likelier to come from town.
>tom - townie, but not willing to trust yet. will leave alone.
>vez - I don't remember.
>kami - i get weird town vibes from him despite him being quite vague. will have to prod for reasoning some time.
>Manasi/kpaca - I would be surprised if there isn't scum in this pile, purely based on activity, purely based on past experience of there being scum in the low posters
>Mikey - no idea. i honestly could see this reaction coming from either scum or town.
>Root - comes off townie. i'm gonna do a closer read because i'm worried i'm reading off something like tone subconsciously and i struggle with tone.
I'm going to put a vote here. vote: Killmatronix

I've been swamped with work for the past few days, haven't managed to properly check on the thread. Sufficiently looking at it now, and through the newest posts, I think I'm finally ready to give my opinion on the state of affairs, as educated as I am on them at the moment.
@Killmatronix: Let's say you have a vig shot that needs to be used in the next post. Who do you shoot and why?
Having read up, I'd safely say it's Mikey.
Mikey's posts have all followed the basic formula of pushing for a lot of people or doing nothing. His defense hasn't instilled any faith in him from my point of view.
The point I'm trying to demonstrate is the post #226, where it's shown Mikey was either trying to early push or presents half-assed reasonings for his decisions.
Speaking of: Vote Mikey
No reasoning to the post. This feels like a bad scum approach. You don't look new either.

VOTE: KILLMATRONIX
Bare with me here. I'm questioning his vote because it had no reason attached to it. We have a lot of time on our hands. I'm just trying to do this right.
...what's your mafia experience, Kill? (Small aside, I shall not be getting naked with you.)

What's your mafia experience?
My whole repertoire is from ToS. Maybe I'm looking too deep, but random lynching is still just random. Couldn't we try and find more solid clues than just post posts voting for folk? I don't know what the process is with the local crowd, so again, bare with me here.
Oh, you were asked that. But you didn't really answer. How many games have you played? Do you consider yourself experienced?
I thought so. It's a somewhat different format. I'd recommend a game or two. Consider it a date.
It's a thing people do on ToS, seeing how there's a timer, and folk need to push for a hanging before the night. So people just vote for unproven people, shifty strats. Reckon that what scum would want, but now that I've seen Re's reasoning, I'm more at ease. No reasoning gave me a bad vibe is all.
What's the standard day/night phase length on ToS?
D1: 15s, since it goes directly to night
Night: 30s
(Everything else is Day)
Discussion: 45s
Voting: 30s
(From this point onward, only applies if there's lynching from the Voting stage)
Defense: 20s
Judgement: 20s
Last words: 5s
And then it repeats from the Night. You can imagine it's much more fast-paced.
When only taking into account the game-related reasons ("solid clues") - my vote was the equivalent of Cantrip's, vez's, yours, and his own. Why is my vote random lynching, but not theirs?
You asked me what I'd qualify as my vote and I responded. That said, it's all in the same vein of seeing as banter, while yours was empty, which seemed at least somewhat serious, if for nothing else than to prod. I jumped because I was new to the format, but I now see that it was all mostly hitting in the dark there. Also, I have no idea who Sentenza is.

Oh, you wanted numbers? Answer is 237 games, over the time of a few years.
And yes, "s" stands for seconds. I have not played any longer games.

It was a joke reference to the nsfw cow post and I've a mino avatar.

Used to a different style of mafia. Hadn't caught on yet. I think I'm getting the hang of it though.
