I was thinking the other day about replacing it with staggershock - how much do y'all value the ability to kill a 3- or 4-toughness creature vs. ability to split targets and not take 2 damage?
Yep, I played it in a UW Control shell. Card was great, dealt with problematic permanents while also generating 2/2s each turn was very valuable. Once I traded away one of the 2/2s, got the facedown card back, and Venser-bounced another spell coming down. I love the versatility of the card, and it's a great finisher to have on 6.
right on - it's an old favorite, I always assumed it was too expensive/slow to work in cube.
I have such fond memories of that card and I really love the versatility - you've inspired me to try it out.
I assume you can cast the sorcery copy in the draw step with this wording? Or can you cast the copy whenever?? (In, which case the card is even better than I thought since you can use it to cast counterspells)
does anyone know if this is how it works? does the copied card stay in your hand to be cast any time, even on subsequent turns?
has anyone tried her in the last few years? I saw her in Kranny's cube and thought it looked like fun.
It's slow and fragile, but maybe more interesting than a ferocidon?
I've had it in for one draft but don't think it hit the field
hell yeah

I love it, but why now?
and it looks like even exile effects don't get rid of it: "when X dies or is put into exile from the battlefield, you may..."
