It's one of my favorite cards - it was laying low for us for a bit for the reason you mentioned - it'd get played then usually blown up before activation.
Then a few months ago someone won the cube a few ago with a Hermit-Vat deck that made my heart sing, and that alone was enough to buy it a few more years in our group
How has this card been performing for people?
It seems to ride sideboards for us a lot, I can't recall seeing it played in the last few years of monthly cubing in our group.
I know it's an all-star in other formats, and likely we're under-utilizing it, but figured I'd ask y'all.
What decks/situations does this card shine for folks who are playing it?
Great to hear! I've run it a few times in the latest MTGO modern cube and haven't gotten the kicker to happen yet, but I really like the card so it's nice to hear about your experience!
Thanks for making this thread! I was thinking about this card too - ultimately decided that delirium was too unreliable and the floor too low w/o it, but would be eager to hear others' experiences with it!
I really love all the decision points and thinking ahead that venture represents but unless there's an outstanding card that demands inclusion, I think I'm planning to just skip the additional complication & explanation.
These have been popular in our group - I noticed some folks here aren't running them - is it b/c of the incomplete cycle or the encouragement of 5-color piles, or they're not good enough? Curious to hear where people are at a year later.

I'm hosting an event on 6/20 and want to know what to waste my money on.
agree the discard is interesting!
