Steam typically updates their storefronts at 10am Pacific Time (GMT-8). There are exceptions, but that's typically when new releases appear/are unlocked.
So that's about... less than 16 hours from this post.
Sarkhan disgusts me, the flavor text on the new Duress only makes me despise him more. He knows very well this is a different timeline and the Zurgo he knew never existed, and he still wanted to take revenge? Serious, how much more pathetic can he be?
I applaud the writers for doing a good job creating such a selfish, unforgiving person, but I really don't want to see him again.
Wasn't Zurgo the first person he meets in the new timeline? Where he's like "Whoa this is different. You're not the same guy who wanted my head." and then he just flies away. Like, that's when it hits him that more things have changed than "Dragons are now alive on Tarkir."
I like Arashin Foremost because it makes a warrior that much scarier without intentionally reducing your board presence. It also lets you attack more freely without trading. Chief of the Edge is a popular "I'll trade for that" because it makes all your warriors weaker. But give it double strike? Woo!
T1 Bloodsoaked, T2 Chief of the Edge, T3 Arashin "Hope you have removal right now"
Blood Chin is nice too though. Also a friend of Bloodsoaked Champion. Swing, sac, then raid trigger. Life gain could matter too.
Also regarding Obelisk of Urd, it's really powerful if you drop it, but in my limited playtesting with it, I can't find a good time that I'm willing to convoke it out (since I rarely hit 6 lands)
Temple of Silence is alright but it can mess up your starting tempo sometimes. I have had hands with only Temples and those hands were painful (though playable).
Athreos is player preference imo for BW warriors, but I've had several rounds where I've locked down a game due to Athreos that I would otherwise have run out of gas. If your opponent stabilizes too late, he won't be able to pay the life (or risk it), letting you attack every turn until you find a hole in the defenses. It's not a 100% thing, but it's won me games that I would have otherwise lost.
I don't think Blood Chin is all that great. I mean it's like Athreos where there's times when it'll be all you need to win. If you must put him in, I'd say put no more than 2.
My problem with Hidden Dragonslayer is that he's very slow to get his effect, and your opponent will probably guess what he is.
Utter End is awesome, but it's slow. I maindecked it but now it's SB for me because... well, it's slow. It is good though. I'd switch it with Hero's Downfall or Bile Blight. Keep it Sideboarded though cause it's a pretty good answer to lots of things.
In my experience, Battle Brawler is really good. Good enough that he'll sometimes eat removal right off the bat. Use with Mardu Woe-Reapers. Get those. They give you life and prevent some reanimation. Also they are 2/1 for W.
I really like Merciless Executioner on sideboard. He's pretty decent removal against some decks. I've dropped him on many things, and you can even sac Bloodsoaked Champion after attacking to raid trigger.
I do not like Mardu Shadowspear. I wanted to like her a lot, but she's a 1/1 that dashes... into pretty much any creature and dies. I suppose she works with Athreos out, but even Voyaging Satyr can chump block her if you don't have a Chief of the Edge out. And then even if you did, a Sylvan Caryatid or Fleecemane Lion will block it.
Seeker of the Way is a really good creature... but I don't know how often you will prowess trigger.
I run 3x Brutal Hordechief. 4 is a bit much, I don't want to see two in my starting hand. However with 3, you might draw another one after your first one get's lightning striked or something. Or you might not, because you already won.
Those are just some quick thoughts of mine based off my experience of running BW warriors in Fate Reforged.
Other cool cards to consider: Gods Willing Rally the Ancestors (in combo with Athreos at instant speed for a surprise block) Easier to cast than Return to the Ranks too. Chief of the Scale (in sideboard. This dude is useless in like most matchups, but against tokens or something it might prevent your dudes from trading with 1/1s) Aven Skirmisher (this is debatable since it's a 1/1... but it is a 1 drop with evasion, and sets up Battle Brawler)
Fair enough, I got wrecked at a Standard tournament yesterday 1-3-1, winning only against Jeskai Ascendancy.
Also probably not viable... but a version of warriors using Dragonscale General and cipt Mardu Skullhunter/Tormented Hero? Probably slower, and Dragonscale takes up a 4CMC slot... so yeah . Food for thought.
I'm not 100% sure that Allies will actually make a return. It seems that they were pretty tied to "Adventureworld" which Zendikar stopped being in ROE, when they disappeared.
The flimsy toughness of your warriors will probably result in their death and hopefully some trades. They will attempt to hit the graveyard, but now the opponent must either let them go back to your hand or pay 3 life to be rid of them forever.
If they're in a position where they have to give you back at least a couple warriors, that can give you fuel to resume the pressure next turn.
Of course... this is really situational... but it would be interesting...
What about that one goblin with Menace? Goblin Glory Chaser
Honored Heirarch is pretty bad though. I spent some time thinking about it and there's just not really a way to justify this even in casuals.
Triple shards was awesome, and then conflux was pretty fun too. Alara Reborn was so weird but I could make it work. I just love that block so much.

Oh god if there are Legendary allies? AAAAA

Still trying to wrestle with a Bant shell though :/
Obviously not mirroring Anafenza, but another creature, ideally with an etb, but if not at least you get a bolster trigger?

Don't crush my dreams
