I hate that those will come now, honestly i wanted a litle more time, kinda hard go all in in those with less than 1 week to be read (and with end of the year near). Those are probably the best drops they did in this whole line, kinda glad but worried xP

They announced your payment method wont be charged until the goods are ready to ship if that makes a difference.

Imagine pplayingt prowess and substitute two lands for this card.

So in your 5th turn, instead of drawing another mountain you draw this and suddenly you can get rid of a blocker and get a prowess trigger.

For red deck wins or prowess decks the cost to include this is 0 basically, well the mirror is the only match where you don't want to see this in your opening hand.

posted a message on I've been hearing murmings everywhere online about this Double Master's Product. Solutions?
They are just going up and up to see where is the limit.

The solution for me would be the collector boosters, premium reprint sets as masters could be a bit more expensive than standard set, maybe the double but not 300 for a box. Keep the fancy art only in collectors boosters sop the whales can have an incentive to go for them.

    Everyone would be happy.

Lol, wizards just discovered how to print money, didn't they?

    They just milk the market.

If people keep buying overpriced crap they get more overpriced crap.

    Anybody else just ignores it.

The absolute worst part of it is that it undermines all the stores.

The product a store gets tanks in value and it just keeps going.

All the stores get a massive "FU" and if anybody cares for their store and place to play, this kind of product has to be boycott, its bleeding out all the stores worldwide.

And if people dont think like that, they will wake up and wonder why there are no stores anymore.

Stores can order secret lair and sell for a bigger profit than any of the regular products. nothing stops them from doing it.

    Quote from Flamebuster »
In short: War of the Spark ****ed it up for everyone and they were spooked by it. Nice to see them admitting this and are going back to the latest tried-and-true approach.

This ought to be interesting moving forward.

It genuinely irks me that Greg Weisman and his incompetent trash compromised the Theros story release for us all. As if Vorthos didn’t suffer enough enduring what he did to the Bolas arc and all the characters and relationships creative worked so hard to establish. Let alone the insult to injury. I doubt this vetting process for Theros fiction was even warranted. This was a Greg weisman issue. Unless he was the author, they could have just released the Theros ebook. That said, I understand why they needed to take this approach. But if Kate Elliot and the Wildered Quest demonstrated anything, it’s that Greg was the problem, not consumer sensitivity, not the lore itself, but a horrible “author” who smashed the “novels” he “wrote” together the night before on dragon software with Junior high locker room banter in the background evidently.

Greg wasn't the problem alone, someone had to approve his work and since he is an outsider they probably gave him the plot and some details to write about, did they requested him to get up to date in magic lore? who gave the green light on the whole teyo-rat sub plot, Greg in fact stated on twitter that the Chandra-Nissa resolution was requested by higher ups.

Greg writing was terrible but I doubt he is the one responsible for the content.

posted a message on The Pioneer Format

While I can see where you're coming from in regards to rotating formats, I would counter with two points:

    1. The longest reach that any rotating format has ever had was 4 years with extended. If we reach out to the apparent trouble-zone of ten years, a player might get their first pack of cards as a high school freshman and have those cards still be legal when they leave the game as a college senior. That type of longevity in a rotating format is all but unheard of.

Nope, when extended was introduced (1999) it was up to 7 years of cards and it rotated every 3 years. The first rotation was in 2002 and ice age, fallen empires, homelands were dropped, next roration was on 2005 and tempest, urza's and masques block went out. At some point they cut extended to 4 years.

My guess it is a Ultimate masters 2 just with a different packaging, it is not standard legal and I doubt they are designing new cards for "mystery". Mostly reprints for modern/legacy and commander.

I always thought Ravnica guilds took ques mostly from renaissance europe and a bit into the first years of industrialization (izzet), nevertheless the architecture presented in the Ravnica sets is mostly European from different periods, Orzhov presenting Gothic, Boros can even go into brutalism of post war Europe, Azorious kind of romanasque, Simic resembles totally the stuff by Gaudi.
