hey guys. so some of you know im still new to the magic scene. but ive been playing alot on cockatrice testing the decks ive built. i got the hang of it so im going to try commander now. so for my first commander deck i bought the subjective reality c18 deck. i got it on wednesday. yes walmart screwd up and put them out early. i think its sweet for my first commander deck. if anyone have ideas for upgrades let me know. also ive been buying lots of m19 core set. i keep getting the crucible of worlds card. i have a total of 5 now. i want to trade one of them for a mox amber and a gilded lotus. if any takers lmk. and im finally off house arrest. so il be attending fnm's reguarly. tomorrow im going to my lgs and ket as many paper matches i can get. i know there's been alot of negativity around the new commander decks. do you guys think i made a right purchase for my first commander deck? and what do you guys think of the new c18 decks?
yea challenger decks are awesome. i own the hazoret aggro deck. its a beast out the box. i also bought 3 of the new m19 planeswalker decks. i got the tezzeret,vivien the arkbow and sarkhan. i played with all of them and so far viven seems to be the strongest. if your local store doesnt have them try walmart. they have the new stuff
yeah the vivien needs major upgrade. i wanted the ajani and liliana pw decks but they were sold out. i went the next day and bought 5 more packs and pulled the vivien ried pw. i might replace that with the arkbow card. what u guys think?

hey guys so this is what happened. my grandma really wanted to give me a gift before she left so. i put half the money in a account and the other my grandma got me the hazoret agrro challenger deck.
ima save the money until i get more money on my bday. and then grab some cards online.

i was going to buy from channel fireball but the person whos buying me the gift will not let me use the card online.(i already asked)plus they are leaving back home to the island tomorrow afternoon. im ordering some stuff online on my bday. i wouldnt feel right asking for the money and order the stuff on my bday. they want to buy me a gift tomorrow and i aint gonna stop them. so i only have these options tomorrow. trust me i wish i was able to order the cards i want. but like i said i dont feel right asking for the cash.
so stay away from those four blocks that are about to rotate. even tho i play mostly modern.
so what about the aggro deck and a dom bundle? lmk and if you got a better idea lmk.
maybe i can go to target since they sell groceries there too
Like I said, buying packs/bundles, etc is not the way to go. Have them buy you an $80 gift card from a bank or something. Im sure if you explain to them that you need to buy specific cards to reach a particular goal, theyll understand. Then you can shop online with your gift card. Also, Modern on an $80 budget might not even buy you 1 card in some instances.
that sounds like a good idea. i was also thinking of calling my lgs and have them put the cards i want aside and have my mom and grandma pay for them when they get there. idk we will see tomorrow. but now i dont know what cards to get to put a deck together. remember im still a noob. man i dont remember magic being this stressfull lol. anyone have an idea what kind of cards/deck i should put together? lmk thanks. remember im looking for something to relearn game play i dont need a million dollar deck. not yet atleast

oh quick story. so i bought a dom booster pack for fun. but i noticed most of the packs had been opened so i grabbed one that looked like it wasnt tampered with. so i open it and when i look through it the uncommons and rare are missing. so i return it and let the manager know about the issue. so i grab a hou instead and pull a locust god. nice. i dislike people who do these awful things i hope they get caught
anyways what do you guys think i should get? or if you have a better idea i would like to hear about it. lmk thanks

played my second game did better brought him down to 9 while i had 18. but then he had a 15/15 and a 10/10 and destroyed me
ok so i just finished my first game since ever and i got my butt handed to me. 45 to 0. i thought my cards did one thing but they did the opposite. i was confused during the whole match. i ran a merfolk deck i made. let me put it this way i need to learn everything.
some cards do 3 things at a time and i thought i could do it everytime i tapped it but i guess not.
i need to learn about blocking , haste ,trample hexproff, etc..... everything.
im on cockatrice if anyone has the time to help. god im hopeless lol
