Lost legacy is a bomb, I honestly don't know why more people didn't play it. I've never casted one and not won the game. You pick their most crucial card and leave them to completely change their game plan while yours stays on track. Nexus of fate hated lost legacy. This card is going to be just as good if not better as it can target more.
After seeing more cards this set looks ridiculous with only half of it being spoiled. I can already see many viable 3 color decks, but sultai mid-range is looking excruciatingly more powerful as more cards are coming out.
definitely one of the draw spells we needed. I believe there will still be a better one in the set after this one. Probably will be a rare WWU spell for the azorius guild.
I'm not sure what y'all are whining about. It has Liliana the last hope. Her full art, if it's going to be legal to use, will be well over $100 by herself. Making her worth half your purchase from the get go.
I recently realized Yahenni's Expertise might not be the correct solution. If they have a Blossoming Defense to grow the horse above 3 toughness that's probably GG. I'm trying out some Bontu's Last Reckoning instead. The not-untapping lands clause is severe but I expect monoG to need some time to rebuild as well so I'll probably be ready for the next onslaught.
tbf, i dont think there is a "correct" solution to the Vinemare problem. Feels like a lose/lose scenario. Expertise doesnt take care of a lot of other creatures green decks are packing. Same with Sweltering. Bontu doesnt deal with Rhonas (though Contempt does), and taking turns off is almost always bad. Im to the point where Ive actually been trying out Vizier of Many Faces
Vizier is cool, and the card everyone says is terrible aka detection tower in the SB is amazing vs vinemare. Side out that field of ruin.
I was thinking again about the deck and I still feel blue is the best way to go as facing down anything white is extremely scary with Settle The Wreckage being a thing. So Being able to counter that front when they only keep up 4 lands for a settle is great. I was also thinking about your R/G build which I thought was nice, but I could tweak it a bit. Since we're using the Mending of Dominaria I decided that Cathartic Reunion would be a great addition. Discarding 2 lands and/or dead cards to draw into your puzzle pieces is great. I went -1 Magma Spray, -2 Chandra, Torch of Defiance , and -1 Crucible of Worlds to play the 4 Cathartic Reunion . Also, any news on how your build has been coming/working?
I do like the idea of Fall of the thran, but I think white will run out of gas. The deck needs to be able to find the pieces of the puzzle so to speak. I believe blue is where this comes in with anticipate and omenspeaker to find your pieces. Unfortunately we don't have a board sweeper besides River's rebuke and it is costly, but can be played pretty early due to ramping. Hour of promise seems too slow for this deck and we don't want to waste time with deserts. we want to get as many lands out as possible and as quickly as possible. Multiple scapeshifts into a mending would be ideal.
Edit: I'm still struggling to decide whether or not to keep omenspeaker. They are a 1/3 body that will slow your oponents while also digging for pieces to our puzzle, but I am also realizing that I only put 1 ramp spell in the deck. Hour of Promise or Grow from the ashes will definitely be needed.
