"Even an assassin can care, Ti'rin. In fact, the better assassins often care about life even as they take it. That caring stops them from succumbing to the urge to take life callously. Do you understand?"
The wound closes and Giselle barely winces. The scene in front of Ti'rin freezes and everything stops moving. There is no sound, no motion, the only thing capable of motion is Ti'rin himself. Giselle's voice sounds from over near the door. "Do you understand, now? You can deal death and still embrace life. Being superlative at one does not exclude capacity with the other."
Under Azusa is Giselle, Ti'rin's old dagger sticking out of her side. Amazingly, the little girl is still alive, though barely. She smiles weakly, bloody foam at the corner of her mouth. "You found me."
Behind the desk, Azusa is lying facedown in a massive pool of blood. Her head is missing completely. What identifies her is the robe. She's lying awkwardly, as though her body is partially covering something else.
The second, third and fourth floors are similarly devoid. On the fifth, the stand where Konda's Banner lay has been thoroughly trashed and the banner has been shredded. The door to Rofellos' office has been ripped off its hinges and Rofellos is lying, cut completely in half at the waist. Inside, Ti'rin can make out the hem of a light green robe sticking out from behind the desk.
The first floor rooms are currently doorless, as though something powerful moved through and ripped the doors off their hinges in passing.
There's nothing alive on the first floor of the House except a couple of insects and a squirrel. The latter pokes its head out of a crack in the wall as Ti'rin passes.
The foyer has been thoroughly trashed. Ti'rin can spot some lower-ranked druids' bodies sitting up against the wall. There is a dead girl, about Giselle's age, but has different hair. The far, warded, door is torn off its hinges.
The phyrexian falls to the overwhelming wave of power. The creatures, and Ti'rin's magic, sensing no immediate threat, withdraw back into the AEther. However, the possibility of threat still exists enough for the life shield to stay, along with one mana source.
OOC: Basically, you get to keep your life total and 1 mana. Everything else is gone. Until magical combat resumes in full, you cannot summon anything else.
