Only having an equip cost of one seems quite good. I can see a lot of games when you play a flier on 2 and the drop and exuip this on turn 3. You can even then cast another 1 drop post combat.
Is appears to be the first time blue gets to permanently destroy/exile an artifact. Not bounce/tuck/steal/counter but actually get rid of it. Not sure how I feel about that.
So will these be on Arena? Only available by wildcards (or as a reward)?
It's a shame some of these cards seem like they would be fun to draft and when I first saw them it made me excited that Kaldhim was a tribal set. Now not so sure.
I know it is not in whites pie so I'm not surprised but this would really like to still have haste. At 7 mana an effective 11/11 with flying (and other stuff) that can pump your team is a lot better if it can come down and swing right away rather than tap out and wait for your turn to come back.
The card is nut crazy in cEDH but I don't care about the format.
I'm actually curious about how busted it is in CEDH. Not saying it's bad, and far from an expert on the format, but CEDH is already built to deal with powerful turn 1 plays and there are a bunch of Commanders where due to there cost this is closer to a lotus peddle, which can be used to power out non commander cards early (tutors, non commander combo and lock prices, other ramp, interaction)
The power ceiling on this is definitely very high but I can also see this causing a lot of people to lose. This is not free to put in your deck and while most decks would want to power out their commander early if they can the fact that this does nothing else can leave you very vulnerable with a big target on your head. I think this will end up in far more decks than it should and most of the time would be better served by a mana dork or a talisman or similar permanent ramp..
This card is a pain, it's very meta dependent. In the meta's it's good in it feels oppressive, just taking everyone's best creatures out of their hand, getting any ETB triggers, bashing them, and either giving them back to be used again or hopefully sacrificed. Maybe run with other bounce or ways to make it hard for your opponents to actually cast there best stuff.
But, in other metal's it does nothing. Grabing some mana dork or a synergy creature probably isn't worth it and there are a number of decks you could just wiff against.
So I need to see the real translation because its unclear if you can use it to cast any spell that has kicker (which would be better) or only when you are casting spells using kicker (worse).
Probably not as impressive as Marshal's Anthem in WB, though I appreciate the callback. I do like the continued push of menace, especially for Greven, Predator Captain, my default menace tribal leader. The added synergy is icing on my Rakdos flavored cake.
Also: I'm sad that it's not deathtouch instead of lifelink on a 2 power critter.
Regarding the art: "STAAARS... "
I think this is more competitive oriented than the Anthem which is only good in EDH, and even then I often find awkward. But, that vampire (and possibly Cleric) creature type seems useful.
you might want to read it again on roiling regrowth
If you read it you would have seen it say they enter tapped while harrow is untapped
So it’s strictly worse not better
However it doesn't sacrifice the land as a cost so it's also not strictly worse.
If you think about copy effects it is strictly worse. Harrow costs 3+a land+copy and gives 4 untapped lands. Roilling Regrowth costs 3 + 2 lands + copy and gives 4 tapped lands.
If you think about counter spells then it is strictly better.
If you have to think about the situation it's not strictly anything. It's just different.
Mono white isnt supposed to get straight removal like this. Its supposed to be reactive, or give your opponents something in exchange, or be able to be answered. Yeah there is usually like a 5 mana exile a creature spell much of the time (and even that feels like a bit of a bend) but this is 100% just a red card.
This is a complete nitpick but Eastwood surge should have had green in the kicker cost. The tradition is when you add an additional effect with kicker (instead of just more of the first) you need another colored mana. Does this matter? No. Do I expect to play this often? Also no. But it's the principle of the matter.

I feel there is some way to break this with scrap trawler. Not sure if it is better than other busted stuff you can do.
