(1) If a player controls a Volition Reins currently enchanting a Sol Ring, can he use Venser, the Sojourner first ability targeting the Reins and when the Reins comes back, can it steal something like, Uril the Miststalker (I think it can because there's no targeting on the card, it just targets when it's cast).
(2) In a group game, what happens if two Elesh Norn, the Grand Cenobite are in play at the same time? Lets say Player A has one on the battlefield and Player B casts one, when it resolves, which would occur:
I know both Elesh are put into the graveyard when SBE are checked, but I'm wondering if other player's creatures will see the -4/-4 and die if appropriate?
I guess the main question is, are they cumulative? For example I played in a group game where I cast Weird Harvest and then cast Tempting Wurm. 3 Elesh actually came out so I wasn't sure who's creatures lived.
(3) Also, with Tempting Wurm, players must choose secretly and then reveal their chosen permenants at the same time to put into play, correct? I know the triggered abilities would go in priority for choosing targets (i.e. Duplicant), but you wouldn't get to see what their playing before you make your decision what to play yourself, correct?
(4) With Alluring Siren, does the targeted creature have to attack the player, or can the targeted creature's controller choose to send that creature at a planewalker that player controls? I guess why I'm asking this is because you have to target a player first with spells like Lightning Bolt and then redirect the damage upon resolution to the planeswalker if you want it to hit them... so I wasn't sure if this was kind of the same scenario.

That looks like a really fun deck to play. I would probably play +1 Swamp, +1 Mountain to bring your land count to 25 and give you a shot at casting those big spells in case someone destroys a land (this is assuming that someone in your area plays a land destruction spell or Strip Mine). I wonder if you'd be better off just playing G/b because the fireballs are nice, but it might make the deck more consistent. Possible replacements for Fireball: Damnation Ob Nixilis, the Fallen
Maybe some unearth effects: Urborg Uprising Rise from the Grave Beacon of Unrest
And you could run 5-8 swamps without worry.
If you like the red, consider Comet Storm which should be cheap ($0.50-$1). Good luck!
I'm just curious... what EDH deck with access to black mana won't want this guy... answer?
I gotta get me 7 of these... at least they're rare and not mythic. I love that Wizards/R&D is gearing towards EDH. Can we assume now that there are more EDH games being played than sanctioned tournament games? I don't care if EDH gets sanctioned, but they did sanction Two Headed Giant... at least they could make some EDH tournaments with EDH prizes.
A: Not much, at least not right away. You still control the ability, so it asks you to pay. If you don't pay, it asks you to sacrifice Illusions of Grandeur, which you can't because you don't control it. Once your opponent's upkeep comes around, he'll either have to pay then or sacrifice it and repay the life total loan that you took out on it.
If you do the same play: allow for the Illusions trigger to go on the stack, and then give it to your opponent, when the trigger resolves, you would still put an age counter on Illusions, correct?
Thx for all the suggestions. Do you guys think I'm minimizing the Red a little too much in this deck, or is the ratio just fine with Zedruu and Banefire?
Red is the worst color... if you want removal, go with Wrath/Path/Swords. I like the idea of the deck, but it needs more draw effects. Psychic Membrance is an option to replace Wall of Hope. If you want life gain, just add Delusions of Grandeur because you don't even need Donate like back in the day.
Edit: Scratch Psychic Membrance... you can use Mulldrifter.
First I'd get it down to 60 cards. Right now you don't have enough instants/sorceries to really abuse Cast Through Time (keep in mind counterspells don't do anything when rebounded so they stay in exile), so you could drop that.
You only need R to cast Fireball, but you need BB to cast exsanguinate and plague wind... you don't really need 3 mountains; but I'd go up to 4 swamps.
For Elfhame Sanctuary... just play Kodama's Reach or Cultivate because it excels and you don't have to give up your draw. I'd replace Journey with those as well. Explore is decent too since it always replaces itself. I wouldn't bother with Elvish Pioneer, better to play cards that fetch you lands (i.e. thin your deck).
Avenger of Zendikar is AWESOME... I understand you're on a budget, but if you can get him, play him.
Yavimaya Elder is a great early blocker, awesome card advantage, and works very well with Azuza. Very cheap too (many reprints)! Viridian Emissary could also help with killing off some quick creatures, while still working your plan.
The deck looks like a lot of fun... if you're really concerned about early game rushes, you can try Pyroclasm, but I think you're better off putting creatures in those slots.
RivalofBolas did work for a short period of time for Nicol Bolas before he sacrificed himself. Though throughout the day you could hear him crying out, "I'm not a Slave of Bolas! I'm not a Slave of Bolas!"
Moral of his story: don't encourage dragon planeswalkers... they always win.

My submission for WW last words:
I'm going to live forever!
Next:
WW Teletubbie (okay, so that there is some creativity, you can't use one that already exists )
The bad news is I had to use dictionary.com to look up how to spell that word.
Damnation
Ob Nixilis, the Fallen
Maybe some unearth effects:
Urborg Uprising
Rise from the Grave
Beacon of Unrest
And you could run 5-8 swamps without worry.

And for the Wizards employee reader: Commander.
Happy?

For now, try this:
2 Sphinx of Jwar Isle
4 Plague Myr
1 Platinum Emperion
1 Sage Owl
3 Roil Elemental
1 Serpent of the Endless Sea
1 Darkslick Drake
1 Wall of Frost
1 Quicksilver Gargantuan
2 Thieving Magpie
1 Counterspell
1 Divination
1 Time Warp
1 Unsummon
3 Rite of Replication
1 Evacuation
1 Lightning Greaves
1 Volition Reins
2 Corrupted Conscience
2 Sleep
1 Essence Scatter
28 Island

Budoku Gardener is a good budget land creature.
Glazing Gladeheart is a great way to recouperate life if you find you're losing to quick decks.
Liege of the Tangle is another fun budget card... just watch out for Wrath of God!
Yavimaya Elder is a great early blocker, awesome card advantage, and works very well with Azuza. Very cheap too (many reprints)! Viridian Emissary could also help with killing off some quick creatures, while still working your plan.

Good luck!
Bone Shredder seems poor since you don't want to have to pay upkeep... maybe Nekrataal? Or just run mana elves/birds to accelerate.
Since you're running Recurring Nightmare, you should definitely have a red mana source to cast Squee.
How do you brush your teeth?
Who eats small children and rats
And enjoys it much
The good news is that it's your birthday!
