Maro talks a lot, but he really didnt say anything worthwhile.
They still make sets like they used to and work from home ... yea wonderful.
And they want you to play digital for now, till they get paper magic back, then you can play however you want again (but actually play both digital and paper, to spend double the money).
Nothing else of worth was said.
imagine having 5000 posts on m t g salvation dot com and being such a bitter loser about the game
Why would you be able to find a booster pack... the set isn't even released.
The store made mistake and put them on the shelves early.
for anyone who hasn't figured this out yet, the "store put it on the shelves early" story is literally impossible and this person just got some stolen packs/cards from one of the printing companies.
The Iona ban is absolutely ridiculous. She's so innocuous I was laughing when I read the announcement. I still think Paradox Engine is fine and shouldn't be banned, but at least that card *was* legit broken if you're that kind of player. Banning Iona is just a sign to me that the rules committee has completely lost touch.
One vote of no confidence from me. I think Wizards should take the reins and come up with a ban list that makes at least a *little* bit of sense.
you're sociopaths and I'm glad that I never have to sit down and be locked out of the game for 2 hours while I watch you play tbh
continuing to post about how this is a garbage decision and keeping a message board running takes the bare minimum of effort, and how this is a big spit in the face to thousands of people who use this site. the people who made this decision should show up here and justify their decision instead of being pissbabies who so casually plan decimate a community via a passing remark in a skype meeting.
what infrastructure and maintenance does a site like this even need? It's just a forum. Absolutely ridiculous that it has to shut down. Which morons at Curse are responsible for this?
IIRC in the original concept push for RtR, they actually ran out of time before they could design Simic's architecture lmao. So that probably explains the discrepancies.
The main thing that this product does differently is that it has the pre-shuffled, built-in tutorial to teach people how to play. People do't realize that MTG is a very complex game compared to braindead tripe like Hearthstone and its other modern competitors. Plenty of other games have a product like this. Stop crying lmao
the tears over Estrid are ridiculous. Why were people even assuming Serra was in this product? Windgrace is and there's no reason for a commander product to use more than one of the ye oldie iconic characters.
Estrid is also by far the most interesting card here, but I guess that's because I like Auras. There are plenty of cheap creature auras, zendikons and genjus to make her +2 be useful, and giving anything on the board Totem Armor is pretty great.
brawl seems really wide open from what I'v seen. I don't think anyone in my area from what I've seen has the same commander s someone else. Format is really fun and it's super easy to find games

yes, you can break the format, but you just don't play with people that do that nonsense.
I have 15 Commander decks and also pretty much only play that format. Originally, I got into Commander because I liked the concept of using underutilized cards I had lying around to make things that were fun and casual, but real talk, commander has become a mostly horrible format to play, especially with strangers. You just get wombo'd out by decks $5000 more than you or otherwise optimized to hell and back. So many games I play are 2-3 hours gauntlets of misery where everyone's spinning their wheels until someone wins arbitrarily through a combo or swinging for a trillion damage.
Brawl though, I like a lot. The rotation isn't popular, but I think that it's vital to keep people on the same footing. It just feels more balanced, faster and smoother than commander, and no one around my area is tryharding the format to death yet - I've had good handful of games with strangers that lasted ~1 hour and didn't have me wanting to die and it's awesome.
This article sounds like a plant for future Brawl products that Wizards will push to keep their financials up.
how does someone make 2000 posts on this forum and post something like this lmao. Brawl is literally a pet project they threw out there with no expectations, and they obviously have no laid out plans for it, or this ban list would've been in place earlier or to begin with. If they make any brawl-specific business decisions, they won't show up until like 3 or 4 years from now after the format is proven to survive.
also Brawl is excellent and made me realize how miserable of a format vanilla commander is. I hope Brawl has legs and/or they continue to put new twists on Commander in the future.

what a bad post lmao. this card can quickly and easily turn games around unless it's gotten rid of immediately.
