Hey whats going on? new here currently building Eternal command because I came into some goyfs and vials for cheap! Hoping someone could point me in the right direction and maybe share some Lists... There does not seam to be too much info out there on this deck so i am glad I found this. Anyway I play casually at home and the occasional FNM and looking for something to transition in out from Jeskai control and it seems like a great fit.
Hey guys , I have been lurking for some weeks and watched quite a few matches and I think I understand the deck pretty well, I am almost to the point where I have a full deck, but I have one big question... I see some lists that use Lillie of the Veil with other using Deaths majesty, I currently own 2 LOV but id like to know if there is a good enough reason for me to go the other way or maybe neither? I really dont know. Id appreciate any advice. I know the meta maybe a big factor however i dont have much info on that as I dont get out to FNM too often.
Nice, I am also going in the Green route I am happy to see ancient stirrings working well for you. I am hoping it solves the problem of the awkward time spent behind the bridge trying to assemble the combo!!!
Hey Just a couple of quick questions, When running 4 bitterblossoms do you find thats a little overboard at times? because this is a mid range deck I feel like I am constantly picking up multiple even when I am only running three. I like the fact that your running Jace and Liliana, do you feel like they are vital to the deck? lastly thanks for the post Im new here currently I am spending alot of time on my Tezzerator build I am also messing around with faeries and am following whats going on here to keep up with whats new.
Thanks for the feedback @trav34, I feel like the point of the pentads and the Mox opals was to be able to run less lands, if I bump up to 21 Id be running close to most other 2 color decks that run no mana rocks.. I guess it wouldn't hurt to go up one. If so what would you switch out? The reason for the Surgicals is because storm is a horrible matchup for me I have at least 3 people playing it at my LGS. I will probably replace Liliana with a Graf based on your feedback and side her in when I know the graveyard isn't a threat and The reason for no GQ is I have only ever had one Tron match up, but I know I should definitely put them in the sideboard.
@boomforest thanks for the reply! I like to keep the deck B/U nothing G/R/W really impressed me too much. I don't know if I need more lands.. I have a mulligan here or there but I think I hit my land drops pretty consistently there are a total of 18 lands pentad and 3 Mox opals. As for the battle at bridge It seams to be pretty helpful against creature heavy decks like goblins, elves, affinity which I play fairly often. The extra life gain and taking out a key creature early on helps to survive a couple extra turns until things get rolling. I will sideboard them out for graveyard hate for matchups against dredge or storm both also heavy in my meta. I like the planeswalkers because I fell like the deck is still missing something to help get the combo out sooner, Jace helps but he mostly distracts opponents and buys time if needed, same thing with Liliana for the most part. I know I could go more on the brutalities or the ideas unbound but they don't feel right to cast so often id rather see of a planeswalker could stick. If there are any other cards you could suggest for those spots I would love to hear them as well, if there is a better land configuration you would suggested I would love to hear that as well!
Sorry I could find your list posted, but I find battle at the bridge to be very useful to remove threats and give the extra by of life to stay alive till the combo gets going when playing against faster aggressive decks.
IDK I Run 3 agent of bolas and I’m typically killing my opponents with his -4 before I ever take them out with thopters. AOB gives you this additional win con u need when people go crazy against the combo
Agreed, I don’t have the most experience either but I was just exploring the idea of adding back Jace, or search for azcanta for that reason. I think new Tez could be playable as a 1 or 2 of. The average Mana cost isn’t too high so you will probably still be safe behind the bridge after drawing 2 of you need to find pieces for the combo.
