Approaching through the street he notices the sign posted for travel. "Hm...This could pass the time." he whispers to himself as he pushes through the door. "Aye? Hello?" He spends a moment checking out the artifacts before approaching the proprietor. "Do you know of any travel or doings in the area of the Quicksands?
He swats at one of the Fae coming his way, cutting just it's wing and watching as the muck below consumes the screaming sprite. The other hirs him firmly in the gut, interrupting his pleasure. "Not many bugs left here. About time." He says with a cold laugh. Bending to one knee, he thrusts both his arms into the muck, legions of fallen appendages burst through, driven mad by the black mana surging through them.

He sighs at the Fae coming his way, slashing through the biggest one again as he did before. The darkness around him growing further, the smell of rotting flesh continuing to fill the air more potently. The same strings attached to the Fae, but thicker, almost fang-like burst from Nivek's mouth, driving deep into the Goblin's flesh and pulling her very life force back into the Mage, Nivek. He then waves his hand, the appendages emerging from the muck tense up, become more organized and begin to race and lurch toward the Goblin.

He ignores the disappearance of his legion, slashing hard through the largest of the faeries coming his direction. The two smaller ones make contact, pushing him back just a bit, the much seeming to hold him in place.
He wipes the glittering Fae blood onto his cloak "Fae bleed good, Goblin." he mocks. The muck around him continuing to grow in size, the shapes getting more excited under the surface as yet another army of assorted appendages emerges through the grime, surrounding him.

"Gah! Pests!" He mutters, swatting one of the fae out of the air with the dagger, the other hitting his chest. "Nuissances! Bugs!" The much around his feet bubbling and spitting up horrific shapes as arms, hands and other eviscerated limps crawl and limp out of the cess pool, some wielding swords and daggers, others just crawling desperately. "Ah, it seems we have some company, Goblin!"

OOC: Is a dagger of any use against flyin' critters?
He looks around, noticing the new Fae. "Egh. Bugs." The ground below him begins to decay and rot, strange shapes moving around just under the surface of the expanding muck surrounding him. He also gives the string attached to his dagger a jerk, twirling it through the air once before clasping it firmly in his hand.
A little surprised to see a Goblin wield blue spells, he laughs. "A confused little critter aren't you? Oh well. This should at least be more interesting than the last Goblin I met...Maybe you'll meet it." A dark aura begins to radiate from seemingly under Nivek's very skin, the dank odor of rotting water and flesh filling the air. He lifts a bony hand, pointing at the faerie hovering about. As he does so, black strings dart and slither from his fingertips, wrapping tightly around the Faerie. "I think you'll find your Fae much less useful at this point, Goblin."
OOC: The ruling, I believe, on Vampiric Link is that it does not grant "Lifelink" but the controller of the enchantment gains the life, correct? So the Faerie would deal 1 damage and I would gain 1 life. I'd just like to double check with you guys though!
Walking into the stadium, he looks around the field. "Hm, so it's finally time to start things." He leans back against a wall, in the shade, to wait for his opponet. "I hope a Goblin can find it's way here." Nivek laughed coldly.
OOC: I'm going to bed, and unfortunately I may not be online much tomorrow. Hiking trip FTW. Night.
He steps through, hearing the commotion. "Oh? The pairings are up, hm?" He asks quietly, to himself as he approaches the notice. "Ah, the Goblin? This should certainly be...Entertaining." Chuckles Nivek, looking around for his opponet.
He covers his face, getting hit with a blast of fire and getting knocked back a bit, catching his balance and brushing ash off of his cloak. "It looks like Fire is a bit quicker than I expected, Ghitu." And dispels his decaying muck, back below the surface of the earth. "I will have to prepare better for our next match." He says, bowing his head in concession.
He twists and pops his joints, a bit of smoke radiating off his skin. "Interesting, but hasty..." He says, repositioning himself in his field of muck which seems to double in size now, enveloping more of the field than before. He waves his hand, motioning for Cathal to continue.

He bows his head in defeat, nodding to the Goblin. "Good match." He mutters coldly, in spite as he turns and limps from the stage.
OOC: A question for future reference. Can I attack enemy creatures with my dagger on my turn?
