So I'm crafting a Jodah, Archmage Eternal commander deck and am thinking about having a cascade theme of sorts. And I'm wondering what the ruling for cascade would be if I make use of his alternative cost ability to cast a spell that would trigger cascade. Would Cascade look at the spell's converted mana cost or would it look at the alternative Jodah cost that I paid?
On top of that, how would cascading a spell with cascade work? Say I cascade with Enlisted Wurm and play Bloodbraid Elf through the cascade ability on wurm. Would that trigger another cascade through Bloodbraid and if so what would that cost technically be?
Hello there! My friend and I have been playing recently and we've come across an issue with our cards. My deck is based around cursing him with Torment of Scarabs and his is a dragon deck which includes Thunderbreak Regent. Our issue is whether or not Scarabs' curse targets his Regent directly and therefore triggers Regent's ability. My argument is that it doesn't since my curse is technically targeting him and it's up to him whether or not he wants to sacrifice Regent. His argument is that my Scarabs either targets the card itself or due to it targeting him it is thereby targeting his Regent, thus triggering Regent's ability.
So, does my Scarabs technically target him or the card he's sacrificing? And would it trigger that card's ability?

Thank you!
