i remember the GB TCG you could draw half your deck in a turn because of the prof oaks, bills, etc. and since there were no limits on Trainer cards per turn it was pretty broken
I actually like the quality of dragonshield too, however my experience is that different packs of the sleeves each end up not the same size (so one stack would be slightly larger than the other one, or vice-versa)
I made a rock-ish deck with the Dark Depths/AETHER snap combo deck but it was mainly casual..
But Hexmage changes everything! this 2 card combo can fit into several decks and be a random "I win" combo with all the "Exile' based removal it's not the least bit overpowered...
but it can easily fit into several decks without disrupting their flow...
At a SOA draft i was playing against my opp in round3 game,
my prev opp who i beat the last round was siting next to me, finished with his opp and talking about the cards i had in my hand to his buddy extremely loudly
It wasnt that big of a surprise when i played my caldera hellion few turns later -_-
since it was so early in the game and not a major play i think having it discarded to the graveyard was a bit harsh. But then again people do get annoyed by these incidents even if was accidental.
storm won't even care. storm says that it plays 4 spells and then laughs at it after it's flipped because essence can only counter the first spell, not any others. it might be effective in a fully powered deck, but is still debatable.
Then the feeling isnt as nice lol
Me2 my AEther snaps are useless now
