I asked about Woodland Cemetery because my opponent in the MTG demo played it.
So, let me see if I understand correctly. If I play Woodland Cemetery and I have no Swamp or Forest down, it goes in the battlefield tapped and it is useless. Then on my next turn I play a Swamp and I'm then able to remove Woodland Cemetery from the battlefield and place it next to my Swamp. Then if I want to play a Darkheart Sliver, I can tap the Swamp and tap the Woodland Cemetery and make it a forest so I can pay the mana cost for the Darkheart Sliver?
I guess it was stupid for me to think of the Woodland Cemetery as being a 2 mana card. The Woodland Cemetery counting as 1 mana and tapping it giving an additional mana.
First off, what type of mana is this considered (Black or green, or any color)? Does coming in tapped mean that I can't play a creature with the card until my next turn when it gets untapped (It doesn't stay tapped if there is no swamp or forest in play, right?)? Basically this card allows me to play more than 1 land per turn, correct? I just started playing a MTG demo and I'm learning about the types of cards. Thanks.
If I attack my opponent with Alaborn Zealot and then he plays Shock on my attacking creature, can I then play Giant Growth on my creature or would my Alaborn Zealot already be killed?
