I don't think its a standard elf ability lol...but being able to genderswap in general is nothing new to DnD.

Yeah Bogles doesnt really rely on massing a large amount of creatures. Seems like it fit best in a deck abusing tokens ala Bant Company decks using Voice of Resurgence

I wouldn't worry green seems to be steadily growing in power these days.

Then again I don't mind WOTC Diversity push but they really do need to do a better job of making these walkers playable...I mean Kaladesh was fine but I have not been especially impressed with Samut, The Tested, 3 Different Hautlis and Teferi, Hero of Dominaria. They need to be Standard Staples and a few need to be breaking into Modern.

Of the currently standard-legal PWs, I love Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh (I actually believe he's Modern-playable) and I find Tezzeret the Schemer to be very good, although unfortunately he's overshadowed by his Agent of Bolas incarnation. And of course, Chandra, Torch of Defiance has the distinction of being the sole good Chandra PW. All others I find to be mediocre-to-bad, and as far as we know about Dominaria, it looks like Karn is going to be awesome, while Teferi is going to be semi-decent at best. So yeah, I do believe some good work has been put into PWs lately, but it's evident that the misses outnumber the hits so far Frown

The problem with Nicol Bolas is all his cards cost so much but yeah it would be nice for the main bad guy of MTG to have a strong playable card. Bolas can cheat his mana cost like Karn and Ugin using sweet Tron Lands. Maybe alternate casting cost? Or try something like the new Karn where he cost 4...luckily for Bolas, Grixis as a color combo tends to do well enough. Elsepth, Sun's Champion could also be useful as a standard for making Bolas, she is the highest cost not cheated mana cost Walker that has had notable success.

Yeah lets hope they don't whiff on the Walker Deck Teferi...granted Teferi did have a high bar. Teferi, Temporal Archamage reigns as the strongest Commander Walker and one of the most broken commanders period. But that is no excuse since Karn, Scion of Urza is weaker then his previous version but still useful. Oh well Teferi is Gatewatch, they have a few chances now although as you said they have struggled with Chandra and Nissa. I might be more disappointed though with the new Teferi because the title suggesting something a bit better than semi decent...I mean Hero of Dominaria sounds hype.

From what I have seen most likely to be in Stompy or Shrine...not likely to break into Elves in the Mainboard as it doesn't really synergize with Elves...if it said and "Elves You Control Can't Be Blocked With Creatures of Power 2 or Less", I am sure Elves Players would be going nuts for it.

What if it's from one of the new commander decks

Well she is not on Dominaria and seems unlikely for Coreset so she could be next major set, commander set or Battlebond? She is not one of the China Specific. The last time we did Walkers for Commander we did have one brand new walker so that is possible.

But yeah seems Garruk replacement...looks human and summons spirit animals instead of actual animals. Looks Green with Black and/or White.

It seems strange that Lilliana relies so much on the Chain Veil. She's centuries old and once an Oldwalker. You'd think she'd be more capable.

Her campaign to slay her demon creditors was kick-started by the Chain Veil. They're stronger than her in a vacuum, so she wouldn't have dared attempt to kill them on her own.

That's also why she decided to "enlist" the Gatewatch. They were her way of dealing with her demons without needing to use the Chain Veil.

The Demons sure...I think the point is more her needing the Veil to help take out Lich Josu.
Granted yes Liliana is an Oldwalker but not all Oldwalkers are on equal power levels and power level tends to scale with experience hence why all the other Oldwakers except maybe Ob Nixilis are a millennium plus.

Liliana is the last known Oldwalker and lets be honest doesn't seem the type who did much training since her main motivations for her demon contract was vanity which suggest she is the type to take a shortcut that is the Veil instead of relying on her own abilities. She was a nobody Pre Mending and a small fish in a Big Pond of Dominaria and fled to a plane where the top dog in Sorin let her stick around cause she didnt register as even a potential problem which doesn't exactly speak highly of her skills when you consider something about Innistrad seems to make her more powerful then she is on a standard plane.

Beyond that if she was too powerful without the Chain Veil why would she need the rest of the Gatewatch? Only Nissa has a unique skill in leyline manipulation which I suppose makes this Return to Dominaria interesting...Considering the likes of Teferi, Karn, Jaya and Jodah should all utterly outclass the Gatewatch.
