So I made a change in the deck for more consistency on draw as well as mana hate to play a long game. Now as difficult as it is to flip thing, I've decided to make him a secondary win by taking two out. I've decided to go with this scheme instead:
Creatures
Thing In The Ice x2
Sundering Titan x2
Sphinx of The Foreseen x4
Delver of Secrets x4
Instants
Mind Bend x4
Shadow of Doubt x4 (might change)
Sorceries
Molten Rain x4
Boom/Bust x4
Enchantments
Blood Moon x3
Curiosity x4
Spreading Seas x4
21 Lands
I've almost completely subverted the main idea of flipping Thing, but card draw is essential. Mana hate needs to be the deciding factor in the game so changes were made to allow myself to keep up with it. But now what to do with our 0/4 slow flipper? Should I relish the reputed Inferno Titan? Maybe add more instants bulk tempo? Throw in Glorybringers?
I can tell how thing is very hard to flip in a blue moon deck, unless everything is a cantrip. Which is why I'm considering Mind Bend and for now rite of flame (until I gather a legal strat), which will be excellent draws for cheap when I get out shadow of doubt or spreading seas. I know this will work. Faith permits it
I'm looking for quick 1 turn tempo, hating their lands asap, drawing cards to flip thing quick, and now sundering titan all of their lands and cripple their mana source.
I want some versatility with card draw, which I can turn ghost quarter into a strip mine while drawing a card, spreading seas, and maybe something to replace ichor wellspring. But i want that sphinx in for sure
Oooh a 6/5 beater when you are mana hating. I'll definitely test that. Rite of flame would be an excellent solution to speed up akroma or balefire dragon, even the typical inferno titan. So many goods, but I think the raw effect of flipping thing in the ice and incapacitating their mind bended lands would devastate them tremendously.
I was also looking into a great fixer, sphinx of the foreseen. It's a free mulligan on first upkeep, a 4/4 flyer, and continues to help you scry out your instants and LD. For 25 cents you cant beat it really
I do like how you are running telling time and sleight of hand. Library fixing is so important to get your engine going. What do you think about rite of flame into sundering titan, with blood moon out and mind bend and/or spreading seas their basics. Perhaps harness the storm to double everything and flip thing in the ice. I see amazing possibilities.
P.S. sorry I am on my phone so idk how to highlight cards on android.
Definitely won't give up, and I see a suggestion with geosurge that could pump wins. I do think Blood Moon will do the deck much justice. Wizards did wreck LD control as new sets pour in, which yes I understand but is quite sad. I love how we envision the same archetype, yet suffer from Wizard's lack of producing anything sufficient. What I'm seeing that could in fact benefit RB is Reduce/Rubble as you can cast twice, remove ice counters off Thing, and blow up lands later. But even just altering their mana with cards like Mind Bend and Spreading Seas does seem feasible as well. Maybe Raze? Thank you for responding man!
Hey guys! Sorry for the ones that gave advice for the last thread a year ago! You guys aren't left in the dark because I took allot of advice as well as researched some quite effective engines that would boost my card advantages. So this is what turned up so far, but in case you're wondering, this is far from complete. Indeed, the last build was sluggish and mostly a dull casual setup, but now it's surprisingly quick (if I have the cards). The only problem I get usually is the fact that it isn't as much control as I need it to be effective. So I was thinking maybe replacing Goblins and an Island with Blood Moon and boomerang with Sea's Claim. Sideboard is not constructed yet so that would be cool for suggestion.
Also, in case I want to add density to the deck, wandering fulamore would be a cool exemplar to add more pressure. But Blood Moon renders it useless if I dont boomerang it back to my hand. What a mess. Please, any suggestions. I'm not too knowledgable of all the cards and I definitely don't want to go legacy. You guys are the best!
I've been working on a cool idea I came up with to deliberately blow up my opponent's mana source in huge chunks. I first just really focused on how many times I can copy a spell whether it was stone rains, roiling terrains, or even boomerangs to slow them down in the late game so bad, but I had a problem with how tremendously slow this strat would be 9 times out of 10. I concluded that I need ways to increase tempo.
Here's my deck list so far:
1x Panoptic Mirror
1x Pyromancer Goggles
2x As Foretold
2x Eyes of the Watcher
3x Pyromancer Ascension
3x Boomerang
3x Echoeing Truth
3x Treasure Hunt
3x Stone Rain
3x Molten Rain
3x Glorybringer
3x Thing In The Ice
4x Bloodwater Entity
4x Roiling Terrain
The rest are land which include 4 field of ruin, 4 halimar depths, 4 sulfur falls, 4 steam vents, and the rest basics.
Any suggestions on what I could do to improve or strengthen this engine? P.S. I'm thinking about switching pyromancer ascension with howl of the horde. I also studied on eminent domain decks to see if that would correlate well but I'm not convinced.
Hey, I'm kinda new here so if this thread isn't in the right category, I apologize in advance and will happily retract this discussion.

I've read the WOTC rulings on how broken Panharmonicon is truly a masterpiece, but I need to know a couple of things before I run it in modern. I'm confused as to the limitations of the trigger. Let's say I have Panharmonicon out, two Corpsejack Menace, and a Fathom Mage.
If I, let's say cast a Mistcutter Hydra for 7 and evolve will trigger twice on the mage, would that also include corpsejack to trigger twice each? I mean technically a creature that came in did trigger the doubling abilities.
