I've always found it hard to push one drops in Cube. You could do it I guess, but then "on rails" is going to be massive understatement.

Confirmed- Eldraine is swords and sorcery Arthurian and Grimm fairy tales themed.

I see a rather murderous Goldilocks in there. Also... Kasmina is/was a knight?

The known Planeswalker is Rowan (and presumably Will) Kenrith, from Battlebond.

Compare this piece of Eldraine art:

To her existing card art (pay particular attention to her sword):

That art has to be from Magali Villeneuve. I wish she would do more.

Judging by the signature and website link at the bottom, I doubt it is.

So all the drafts matters cards are supposed to be voted on then? Since they're not conspiracies or Un- cards? For future threads, "Vintage Legal" is a nice clean way to illustrate this (unless you want Holiday promos, dexterity cards and ante cards to be included). Just a suggestion.

I think things stopped being "just a suggestion" a long time ago.

18 lands seems wild, but maybe I should give it a go. I wonder when the Nissa, Voice Of Zendikar are coming in?

I'm still liking Fog over Life Goes On. It works against Infect, is usually on parity against the red decks trying to grow their Monastery Swiftspear / Soul-Scar Mage for one big attack, and has also been really handy against the new Unearth / Lightning Skelemental deck.

I personally always err on the side of fewer lands. Also agree that Fog can be good. Been using that trick since way back in Pauper.

yeah its hard without having thousands of data entries. Also because this is specific to my own cube, maybe the mono white aggro decks are better supported than the types of decks where balance is supported.

That's the thing, I legitimately would rank aggro cards above Balance for precisely the reason stated (without referencing recorded data -- done that, it is just too volatile and sneakily subjective). Although ultimately my contention is that very few people actually know how to maximize Balance.

I know this isn't a pauper combo, but I think it's worth sharing.

Lightform'd the top card of my library, which happened to be Calciderm. Next turn, paid 2WW to morph. The result was a 5/5 flying, lifelink, shroud beast that doesn't have any counters on it. That is, there will never be a last counter to remove, and thus you'll never have to sac it.

Nice! I looked up Vanishing to see exactly how it worked and it doesn't even trigger if there are no counters to begin the upkeep. However, if Calciform had fading it would have died. Interesting.

A few of the Conspiracies are basically "Create Your Own Synergy" although I haven't used them in Pauper to give you specific examples.

Weirdly, one that doesn't work is Iterative Analysis and top deck tutors since it reads "When you cast"

The +1/+1 counter one can be ridiculous as can the one that grants haste.

Also, when Ephemerate was printed it really highlighted the synergy between Cloudshift+Threaten effects since Cloudshift returns the creature to your control rather its owner's.

Timeframes look good to me. 10-card guilds and 2-card shards/wedges is probably fine.

Still split on classifications and ranking criteria, though I've voiced my opinion on both.

You want to classify according to color identity (or even stricter than that, since even Commander fudges on extort)

Barkhide has been pretty good for me so far. Big upgrade over Kalonian Tusker.

To me Conspiracies are more suited to powered cubes where you can do more with them and where they shake up what can be a pretty stale format in general.

In pauper they run against the grain of feeling like a turbo-charged traditional limited format.

And there are always players who don't like them on principle and/or consider them a gimmick so it's rare for an entire play group to be thrilled about using them.

In terms of how to draft them, since they never go in your deck you can put them in different color sleeves and deal out one per pack. That's basically how real Conspiracy drafts worked although to get enough Conspiracy cards for every pack you also need to include the "draft matters" cards such as Cogwork Librarian -- which is conveniently a common.

Hey guys is prismatic vista worth playing. I have a stock list and am just looking to upgrade a little bit. i want to add 2 prismatic vista for some filtering along with 1-2 waterlogged groves or peatlands.

Are they worth it or is it better to just keep the forests and not take the life loss?

They might be useful as cheaper substitutes to fetchlands if you want to enable Narnam Renegade. But that would splashing a second color more problematic.

It was the integration of the last 2 yrs with the old EE. It was so Al could easily move the html over.

We can gladly discuss downgrades. But the site almost locked out so I was scrambling to get those additions. Took over 8hrs and isn't complete actually.

Its nice to have things in an easily accessible place and format. I appreciate the time and effort.

What are the thoughts on Wildfire Elemental for Swarm? Firing 2 burnspells at your opponents face gives you a Path of Anger's Flame for free. It's obviously nuts with Fireslinger, Thermo-Alchemist and Firebrand Archer.

I like it because, at worst, it's interesting
