Ok, the opals are mana acceleration (and sacrifice sources later on). What about aether vials (which I have) instead? Then I switch out sparring constructs for metallic mimics. This would shift the majority of the creatures to the two drop slot even more where the vials can crank them out. Basically this is what I'm looking at.
I'm interested in building into this deck. I can swing getting the Ravagers and the Overseers and then I have the rest of the cards...except the damn mox opals. Is this deck playable without them? I realize there are no substitutions for the moxen, persee, but would you play instead of them? Up the land count by a couple and play some more utility cards?
The pair of ee are a catch all that come in vs humans, value town, or zoo type of decks.
Cage is for coco style decks.
Relic, general graveyard hate.
Feed the clan is clutch against burn. I'm likely packing one too many but there is a lot of burn in my meta right now and that match is so much just a straight race as it is. I really want to see one of these.
The torpor orb is straight up for humans. I will probably go down one feed the clan for another one of these at some point.

As it stands I pretty much don't want to see tron,don't usually see it locally. But it is around, so my plan is to just try to race it and hope for the best. But I typically have most of the more common decks covered. Working on a more formal sideboard guide currently but most of it is in my head.
