I've been thinking a lot lately since Luxior came out that we might see more equipment that can attach to planeswalkers. I can see some giving some more abilities as I think when Orgins came out there were talks about cards that could give extra abilities if I remember right.
this would have been a more entertaining wedding to watch than Crimson Vow, even if just looking for Kaya, Teyo, Teysa, Mizzix, and pretending one of those doves is Lazav
all resonate with me due to their fierce femininity.

I like the diversity of depictions of female characters. They range from super butch to super fem, and are always shown as fully capable. Bird Maiden was always a great favorite of mine from childhood. And Cuombajj Witches as well. That was quite an image when I was young.
But male characters are less diverse in their depictions. There's a lot of "RAAAAARRRRGH! Sweaty man with muscles and sword!" Lots of gruff men with scraggly beards, and grouchy wizards. It's nice to see a Humble Defector, or a Hazduhr the Abbot, or the guy who made friends with a dinosaur on Forbidden Friendship. Ya know, dudes who aren't hulking wads of testostrone. I really love Hans Eriksson (speaking of bears).
But there are a few dudes that set off the ol' gaydar. Sorry, Beloved Princess. Your Charming Prince's interests lie elsewhere. And there's something about that Echo Mage.
I mostly wanted to point out succumb to temptation because I feel like it somehow went under the radar as a very homoerotic card. I don't remember people talking about it a lot at the time.
Nonetheless, my favorite art tends to be for stylistic reasons rather than for excellent character depictions.
I think it would have been interesting to see the story of succumb to temptation whether it is meant to be erotic or not. It is leaving a lot of details out. Vampires in general are erotic in nature which can sometimes be a bad thing lol. I think during the 90s most male characters were old men in Mtg. We’re getting a variety of depictions now which is good. My husbando art though is sorin the mirthless lol. I love that art so much lol.
This is, as another very illustrative example, the reason Urza's Saga is - and had to be - an enchantment land. You'll notice in the above list of land types Urza's. That type line was not an arbitrary choice, but a consequence of the what the rules dictate. I want to put extra special emphasis on the fact that Urza's (as opposed to Forest) has no inherent rules meaning; it does "nothing special".
What I really want to see is a land hoser specifically for lands with more than one type, and then watch the chaos as folks argue about the power plants and mines and so on
He seems pretty cool. It could be fun to stack Vito and Sanguine bond effects and double the drain with him.
So I just realized that there’s a Baba Lysaga card so that means we are going to have a Strahd card right? As far as lore goes I’ve only read stuff about Ravenloft. Is there precedent for the Baldurs Gate storyline intertwining with Strahd? I’ve tried looking online on my lunch break but haven’t had success lol
One of the party members is a vampire and there's already hints of some vampirey storyline for him. Hard to say exactly given how thoroughly not done the game is but I wouldn't be shocked at all.
It would make me extremely happy lol Is that character from the third game? The third game is still in development isn’t it?
On the gate subject do you think they’d bring in fortifications for this set? Maybe there’d be a cycle that give the gate type? If they didn’t want to explore gates they could have enchantments that make them gates. I feel that they should have made her five color or five color identity.

secondly New phyrexia pretty much the entire set got leaked
Yeah, and that was long before Ixalan.
Don;t forget too that I think Judgment was leaked due to ppl able to see the coding in MTGO before it was released. Either Judgment or Scourge, one of those two.

TLDR
Did they explain how backgrounds and choosing one works?
'buster
That’s what I want to know as well! I’m guessing that if your commander has the choose a background that it begins the game in the command zone, but can they also be in the 99 of regular decks. I’m assuming so cuz nothing about the templating would prevent it. I’m already sold on buying a box of this. I loved AFR and I think this looks awesome so far. I’m hoping that there will be some of the initiative mechanic in mono white because I have a nadaar blink deck that goes through dungeons pretty fast. I’m surprised no one is talking much about Gale. I think his ability to recure spells from the graveyard is pretty strong and I think with all the new adventures there’s some shinanagins he can pull off with them.
Edit: I don’t think Gale plays with adventures the same way as Lier does it looks like that’s an exclusive for him. Gale has a lot of potential though.
Nope, Gale exiles cards that he reuses from the graveyard IF they would go back to the graveyard, but the instant/sorcery side of adventure cards don't go back to the graveyard, they get directly exiles instead.
That why Gale pairs so well with Archeologist Background, which not only gets him access to red, but when he casts say Stomp from bone crusher, then Casts the creature, he deals half it's mana value in damage, then some kills it, so next turn he can cast a sorcery, then Casts stomp from the graveyard when exiles itself afterward instead of going to the graveyard, which means you can cast the creature side again, triggering Archeologist again. With somekind of red permanent granting you the ability to sacrifice creatures of a benefit, you can keep doing this.
This allows you to build a cool Adventures/Prismari/Izzet/Exile matters deck. Heck add in double vision for more craziness.
I’ve done a little bit of research and from what I’ve gathered online and it only works with Lier because he isn’t targeting them or counting them as instant or sorceries. It’s still very confusing and I was hoping it worked the way I initially thought but here’s the sources I found.
It would have been awesome but I think because Gale has to target the instant or sorcery it doesn’t work because the adventure is only an instant or sorcery when you are casting it as an adventure and when it’s on the stack and is a creature the rest of the time. I’m hoping that makes sense it’s very confusing and I’m still trying to understand it lol.

Since Luxior, Giada's Gift I've been wondering how it's going to impact planeswalkers in commander. The common opinion is that planeswalkers are too fragile against four player games, but I still enjoy them in my commander decks. So in my ponderings I have come up with an idea that could work for some planeswalkers and even allow them to be your commander using some of the technology off of Luxior, Giada's Gift. So here's my idea.
Battle Ready
When this permanent enters the battlefield choose creature or planeswalker. If creature is chosen it enters the battlefield as a creature and not a planeswalker and visa versa. Loyalty abilities can still be used.
Sorin Sanguinmancer 3WB
Legendary Creature Planeswalker - Sorin
Battle Ready
+1 Until your next turn whenever a creature you control deals damage you gain that much life. If that creature has Battle Ready place a loyalty counter on it.
-3 Exile target nonland permanent
-8 Until end of turn, each Vampire and permanents with Battle Ready you control gains “{T}: Gain control of target creature or planeswalker.”
Loyalty 4
4/5
Sarkhan the Fierce RUG
Legendary Creature Planeswalker - Sarkhan
Battle Ready
+1 Until your next turn target creature gains Flying Vigilance and Haste and is a dragon in addition to its other types.
-1 Add Rto your mana pool. If that mana is used to cast a Dragon that spell can’t be countered and you may draw a card.
Loyalty 2
3/3
Oko, Transformation Mage 2UUG
Legendary Creature Planeswalker - Oko
Battle Ready
If Oko enters the battlefield as a creature you may have it enter the battlefield as a copy of a creature or planeswalker you control except it’s name is ~ and has the Oko subtype in addition to it’s other subtypes.
-2 Until Oko leaves play target creature loses all abilities loses all abilities and becomes a green Elk creature with base power and toughness 3/3.
Loyalty 5
3/3
I almost feel like there should be a downside maybe they'd enter play with 2 less loyalty counters if they enter as a creature. I think if we have any ability like this I could see it being in the Phyrexian War set as like a mirror to the compleated keyword. I think it's still a little clunky so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Too bad they changed Hound to Dog, then you could say the tokens you make out of blood are your bloodhounds. I guess I'll settle for making cats from clues and saying 'curiosity created the cat' instead.
that’s awesome lol. I think she’s interesting with some of the cheaper token creators.
I don't think 7 cards deep is going to hit something that protects her reliably.. Reading is an advanced skill apparently.
Oh geeze now you're going to try and mock me. In standard Brutal Cathar and Skyclave Apparition could do the job fairly reliably. I don't know what card you know of that could fade exile removal. I could be completely wrong but I have a feeling it could do something special if it doesn't that's fine I still think it's an awesome card. But I'm done talking to you have a nice day.
That's two cards. I wouldn't call having a 50% chance to spend 2 extra mana to get a shield counter on a 2/2 that temporarily removes one target something reliably protects a 5 mana planeswalker that goes down to 2 loyalty at sorcery speed.
I didn't try to mock you. You're the one who typed your post, not me.
You just said reading was too advanced of a skill for me, how else should I take that lol. I don't think we are ever going to see eye to eye on this so I am done discussing with you.
Yet again, you're not using reading skills to see what I actually said, and instead are claiming I am saying things I am blatantly not saying. I never said that reading is too advanced of a skill for you or anyone else. I just said that apparently it is an advanced skill. Not quite sure why you're so determined to be this incorrect today, nor do I really care. I will say that your own posts make more claims regarding your ability to read than any of mine have.
Ashnod's Altar + Undying Evil + Cornela.
Infinite blue and red for instants and sorceries, infinite colorless for everything. Any outlet wins the game.
Alas, undying only allows for one revive, you'd have to get the counter off. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would work for this.
I think it works with Demonic Gifts unless I'm reading something wrong. You can loop her for a giant Fireball or pick a storm card you like.
Birgi, God of Storytelling lets this combo work in Standard with another sac outlet. Unfortunately, the only suitable sac outlet in Standard is Immersturm Predator, unless I'm forgetting something.
Thank you for a higher resolution of this!

They’re supposed to be ribbons or strips of fabric to convey lithe airy movement.

Whatever have a nice day.
In Historic and Pioneer you have Defiant Salvager and Yahenni, Undying Partisan. Historic also has Yawgmoth, Thran Physician which could be nasty.
